Hey, I have the 2017 BMW 330i and very happy with the car. I like the steering feel of it way better than that on my 2006 325i which I still have. The 330i is surprisingly powerful and will plant you in your seat with hard acceleration, most people in all types of cars were left to see in my rear view mirror quite often. The car is comfortable, stylish, reliable and resonably fast. Best thing is that I basically get to drive it for free! Can't get any better than that. Nice sunglasses by the way.

Exactly! I own a 2018 320d xDrive and I am VERY happy with the car, never had any better car than this one. Have you driven the 320d, if so can you tell me which car is faster (I know the 330i is faster 0-60 but want to know which feels faster if you know what I mean).

I have a 330i and its great! Others I drove were; 1. Lexus felt unexciting to drive. The central console was too obtrusive, restricting arm/elbow room. The overall dash layout was a mess, buttons and vents everywhere. Very 1970's! 2. Audi A4 had a more modern dash layout than the 3 series, due to it being a fresher model. Fit and finish of a high standard. Motor was smoother and quiter than the 3 Series and so was cabin intrusion noise. The biggest let down was the behavior of the DSG at low speed just clunky and not a prestige feel, terrible! 3. C class exterior nice however, more feminine not masculine! Handling least stable of this group. Too much shiny plastic for my liking. The infotainment/vehicle management device not as user friendly when on the move as the 3 series. A good car but not as fun to drive as the 3 series. Hence with all considered the BMW 3 Series worked best for me! A fun mid size sports sedan! Still the leader of a category it established!

If tech is your high on your list of priorities when buying a car, go with Audi. I prefer classic styling and and driving performance myself. That's why I went with the LCI F30.

What you failed to mention regarding the Audi, Merc, and Lexus is that none is available in a wagon (the Allroad does not handle like an A4). The 330i wagon outhandles any SUV and has similar utility. You can have your cake and eat it too.

I just traded in my 2015 mustang ecoboost and my 2012 550i GT for a new 2018 330e iPerformance that was a little over $60,000 MSRP. Idk how you say it’s outdated looking. I bought this car knowing that the 3 series is going to get a refresh soon to look like the 5. With the new headlights, kidney grills, taillights, & interior tweaks, I feel that this generation still blends alright with most 2018 cars in its price range.
@CarVisionLA6 жыл бұрын
It does but if you compare the interior and exterior design languages with the newer redesigned BMWs like the 5-Series, you’ll see that it looks outdated. Not a bad car I just think people should wait for the newer one.
@Idk9106 жыл бұрын
CarVision oh I completely understand. But put it likes this... after taxes the MSRP was right at $62,000. I got this car for $52,000 out the door including the negative equity from both my other cars, a free maintenance plan that covers everything until 2023 and an extended bumper to bumper warranty that also last until 2023. I’ll take the L on the body style that doesn’t even come out til next spring when including my negative equity I was able to get about $15,000 off and have $4,000 worth of coverages thrown in.

Hey guys , is it expensive to maintain ? I’m thinking is purchasing one for 21K with 28,600 miles. Any opinions ?
@CarVisionLA3 жыл бұрын
Routine maintenance will be more expensive than your typical economy car but as they age, BMWs will break and will be expensive to fix. 28k miles is pretty low so you’ll probably be good for the next few years but be sure to get a pre purchase inspection before you buy it.
@luiss3893 жыл бұрын
@@CarVisionLA hey thank you for the reply ☺️ How much expensive are we talking about ??? I’m just scared it will cost me thousands of dollars :(
@CarVisionLA3 жыл бұрын
Well it really depends on what breaks. Usually we’re talking about small things like sensors but those can be a couple of hundred to a thousand bucks. If you plan on keeping the car for 5-6 years, you should be fine but anything longer, I’d recommend getting an extended warranty.

Lexus IS not the competition to this car, really in any way. Mercedes is a grandpa car. That only leaves Audi, which if you get into details...330i wins.

The w204 is a pretty decent value considering you're getting a Mercedes sports sedan with plenty of power but the long term reliability is always a question with German cars.

Great video, but you lost me when you compared the BMW brand with a “competitor” you mentioned, Lexus? Audi and Mercedes entry level models are more realistic competitors to the BMW 3 series.
@CarVisionLA4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment. I would argue the Lexus IS is a competitor because it has a similar starting price ($38,560 vs $40,750), has similar proportions, and is meant to be a luxury sports sedan.

Dumb video. Not everyone want to spend a bunch of extra money for a brand new model. You know.... you can actually enjoy a BMW for being a great car and NOT just as a status symbol, just saying
@CarVisionLA5 жыл бұрын
The brand new, redesigned 330i is priced similarly to the previous model, starting at about $40,250. Nobody said consumers had to pay any extra. While the F30 was a great car, the premise of this video was as follows: Why drop $41k on an essentially six-year-old model when you can spend that same money on a brand new, freshly redesigned generation if you waited a few months? If people are spending that much on a car, they should get the most up-to-date model. It just makes more economic sense. I really enjoyed driving the F30 but the fact of the matter is that it’s outdated and the consumers purchasing this vehicle may also be buying it as sort of a status symbol.
