I drove the 750 back to back with the S550 for a video I made. I leased an S550 W222. The BMW feels great, but feels like a "regular car". The S-class feels so much grander. It's mostly because of the minimalist button layout and the stalk shifter. There's nothing that makes me feel wealthier than driving our S-550 into Manhattan on date night to a typical restaurant. The BMW 7 is a nice car, but it ain't no S-class.

You are wrong about the wheel base... the long wheel base version was specifically made to appeal Chinese buyers (they had it since 1990) but is now available in U.S now. Don't worry, it's not made in China ;)

We've had the option of a long wheelbase 7-series for quite some time now. Regardless of what market it was designed for, it's nothing new. The only thing new is that we don't get the short wheelbase.

19:11 Man, it's not a diesel, you can rev it past 5000rpm, the sounds is certainly much better at around 5500-6000rpm compared to what you revved it to (i believe the max was 4000)

I think that the active grill technology was not really new for bmw, I can remember the grill making flap noise depending on coolant temp in my old e60 530i.

I love how this has a 4.4L BMW TwinPower Turbo V8 in it that does 0 - 60 in 3.6 seconds (same time as the M760i) but get's better fuel economy than the M760i which has a 6.6L BMW M Performance TwinPower Turbo V12 at 20 MPG (compared to the 25 MPG that the Aplina B7 gets). And get this, the Aplina B7 is cheaper than the M760i! Isn't that great? That's a win if you buy the Aplina B7 because it's cheaper, and the specs are better.

considering on one of these +saabkyle04. love how the alpinas hold their value where as normal BMWs become very cheap in a few years. the only thing that put me off is the lack of F1 styled gears. I've seen the + & - on the wheel but since you have driven one can you confirm as there isn't an Alpina I can see unless I order one.
