Sure, you do not really have to but OBD takes about 45 minutes and using the ENET we manage to take it down to about 15 which makes it about 3 times faster, it is also safer because God knows if the power supply is there or not, and especially in the cold months BMWs don't appreciate being fully lit up for that long a time.

You will need to put some effort into it but it is. Even if you forcefully stop the procedure midway you can return the module to life.

The DLC connector has power all the time. As long as the device you are using can send a “wake up” signal, there’s no need to have a key in the slot. This is enough to get you in the KOEO position with a compatible tool. Hope this helps

BDC in F series only, for fem you still need to read the eeprom, the license is coming soon.

We tell the car to turn ignition on by obdurate, this is standard to the abrites diagnostics for bmw. Otherwise cars fall asleep and procedures fail.

No, BN012 is mentioned for all keys lost as it has always been the ISN reading licence.
