I love my 2017 chevy equinox, 76000 miles no issues. Keep the maintenance up oil changes every 3000 miles

Just got done renting one of these. 4 cylinder is loud at high revs. Reverse cut key is difficult to fit into the ignition. Transmission needs reprogramming because if you dip into the gas it tends to drop down 2 or even 3 gears when 1 would suffice. The 2.4 liter is actually not bad, if you're used to 4 cylinder power and you're not the hot rod type. Finally, the dashboard is home to lots of plastic.

Love our 2017 Summit White Equinox LS, space, economical, and great drive around town and on the highway. Front and rear headroom and legroom is plentiful. So far, so good! Nice video BTW!

Just bought a new 2017 Equinox. Like it more than the 2018. For an old fart like me did not notice no cd player sucks. Now I have to kidnap a 5 yr old to show me how to play music in it.

I bought my 2016 new. I've had to replace the Battery after 5 years. The tires have been replaced. I have 41K. I've had the Transaxle/Transmission fluid replaced I've had the Tranfer case fluid replaced. The tech,on the infotainment center. Is the old style. My previous vehicle was a Ford Ranger two wheel drive 5speed with AC. So, this car is Quite a bit more luxurious compared to my truck.

+Johnny .Bravo since you have one I would like to ask: I noticed this guy on video doesn't push down at top of shift when he moves it. I am 70 yrs old so I might be dump about it but I thought you shouldn't move shift without holding down the top of it. can you let me know? my husb agrees with me.

The buttons are far away from you for a reason.. you shouldn’t be using any of the controls while driving, when you’re parked it’s easy to just lean up and do whatever is needed. But they put them far away so people won’t use them while driving

I have a dark blue 2017 Equinox sitting in the driveway right now, with dealer stickers on the window, brand new. It's a loaner while our 2017 Cadillac gets a CD player installed, the dealership loaned us the Equinox. This damn thing feels like a Go-Kart compared to the Cadillac. It's quite hilarious contrast. However, I like it, and I wouldn't mind it as a family car. I like the body style and the interior, although nothing like a Cadillac, is not bad. I like the center console lighting at nighttime, it's pretty slick with the edge lighting around the console in ice blue. I don't think the interior looks dated at all, it looks modern enough, and since this was the first time I ever been in or heard of an Equinox, it's perfectly up to current standards, IMO (besides the touchscreen, the software is outdated looking). Unfortunately, however, the standard sound system is bad, I'm not sure if that's how standard speakers sound, but it's not good, but I can live with it. Finally, it doesn't have a CD player, just like the Caddy that cost 2 or 3 times as much as this. As to that, wtf GM. >.>

CD's are going the way of the VHS! Between satellite radio, music apps like pandora and MP3's stored on phones, there is no need for 13 track CD's anymore! I havent used a cd in well over 5 years.

Rusty Shackleford. Unfortunate for those of us who have treasured cd's we want to play while on the road. Have some great vhs tapes too. Thought cd's would stick around longer. But technology moves forward, such is life.

The front end and rear is a bit different, apparently (mostly the lightsand grill). This is the first time I been in an Equinox (I have a brand new one outside as a loaner for a day), but if you never been in one or seen one, it looks pretty modern to me.

I am unfortunately stuck with this thing for a work vehicle. I have the 2017 L4 2.4. It is very low powered and I find I'm stuck in the truck climbing lane when I'm on the hwys in the mountains here. With this thing "pinned" to climb the hills you can kiss the so called fuel economy good bye, I hit an average of 15 liters per 100 kms which equates to about 15 miles to the gallon, my 1 ton truck does better. I have used it in the snow and found it handle ok but the front valence acted as a snow plow and have to shovel it out . This vehicle is more suited for the weekend warrior types, good for dropping the kids off at school. I find it very difficult to climb in an out of as it is built for the smaller type person and the seats are like sitting on an airplane in economy class. The cheesy tilt/telescopic steering system is a poor, but I guess they have to cut corners somewhere to make "affordable". There is nothing ergonomic with the "egg carton " interior. Possibly this is how all SUV's are. I do not recommend this vehicle for long distance travelling. The road noise is horrible and the foam around the spare tire does not seem to silence it either. Well at least it has onstar, so GM does not get nailed for littering when I leave on the side of the road.

I had one of these as a service loaner. It was alright. Roomy and comfortable, but I wasn't impressed with the interior quality. And I'd definitely opt for the V6. It felt pretty underpowered with the 4.

not so sure about that, the Impala looks far better than anything ford has, the Camaro is far more aggressive than the Mustang, Tahoe looks far more sleek than the expedition, not to mention GMC has far better products than ford... and Cadillac is in a entirely different league than lincoln which is nothing more than a rebadge and plastic.
