I guess i just have enough with my stingray. With aero package i look the part, and the 460hp is more then i need for 90% of all driving i will every do in the car. Saved my money on the GS and put into the 3lt package with all the goodies. Love the GS special edition, great video.

As someone with a Z51, I can tell you the brakes are fine. Yes you might want to cool them off after 20 minutes of lapping, but swap to a more track oriented pad and you're set. Unless you're a die hard track junkie the z51offers the best value in the c7 lineup. Marginally more expensive than the stingray and still 10k less than a grand sport

@@SonsofSpeed Agree!!! C8 mid-engine twin turbo sounds pretty interesting and if they offer a manual transmission it would be one fun machine. Either way it should be a great car. I will get one most likely and hold onto my 2017 ZO6. Corvette great car to just enjoy either way and any generation corvette is something to consider owning.

@@freedomrider266 Some nice 1/4 mile numbers for ZO6, someone is getting the power down. I hear ya Grand sport must feel nice knowing your not going to spin the wheels at 60mph, but have to say its a great car to try and live up to that challenge. Either way all corvettes in my opinion are just a great creation. Guess depends on drivers abilities and really what they are looking for in a car, and corvette allows for choices which is pretty darn good to me.

Hello, thanks for such an informative, well made video. The tire bending issue, is this something easy to see or feel while driving or does the tire need to be removed? I have a 2019 GS and in one occasion, at high speed in sport mode and on a straight line, it became very unstable and wobbly. The steering wheel wasn’t as responsive and the car was shaking. I took it to the dealer and wad told “you shouldn’t be driving that fast” and they didn’t find anything wrong. Any help or suggestions will be appreciated.

jansel perez martinez first, find a new dealer, preferably one with a dedicated and experienced Corvette-only mechanic. Your car should not have the kind of issue you described at any speed. Second, a bent wheel will usually show itself in a vibration in the steering wheel at certain speeds (usually the top of the wheel). Good luck!

Are your rim sizes OEM on the rims with the Hoosiers? Also, are you running autocross tires on the track? You said A7's instead of R7's.

No, those wheels are 18x11 up front and 18x13 in the rear. The A7's work just fine on track, though the R7's will be better in higher temps or when really warmed up.

Looking at purchasing one of these or the Carbon 65 edition. How does the blue reflect off of the windshield while driving? Is it very noticeable or do you forget about it after a while?

You’ll only really notice it for a day or two, then you get used to it to where you forget it’s there

Is this your car? I use track pads on my Z51 and haven’t had any brake fade issues.

We had tried various track pads, brake fluids and even rotors on the Z51, and almost all the combos resulted in brake fade. The only combination that seemed to resist fade were KNS Rotors, Raybestos ST-45 pads, and Castrol SRF fluid. Even then, rotor temps after a session would still be 700-900 degrees. With the Grand Sports much enhanced cooling ducts and larger rotors, we never get over 400 degrees front or 300 degrees rear after a session.

NAGAZINA FIREWORKS we’re not sure we understand your question. The solid roof is standard in the Collector’s Edition Grand Sport, and this car also has a second transparent roof panel. If that didn’t answer your question, please let us know.

It’s a feature of the Grand Sport that started, near as we can tell, on the C4 Grand Sport and reappeared on the C6 and C7.
