Step up to the 2.3L EcoBoost® 4cyl to access 280hp/310 lb.-ft. tq. and get 18/25/21 city/hwy/combined with 4WD. More power is your forte? Ford has you covered with the available 3.5L Twin Turbo EcoBoost® V6 pumping out 365hp/350 lb.-ft. tq. delivering it all through 4WD with 16/22/18 city/hwy/combined. No matter what your taste, Ford has your flavor.
Step into the cabin and be awash in a sea of space. From cubbies in the front doors to cup holders in the third row, Explorer has room for your, your family and all the items required to enjoy your family vacation. Thoughtful touches such as rear USB charging ports, tri-zone climate control and the available second row bucket seats all enable the utmost in comfort and relaxation for up to seven passengers.
But it's not all peachy for just the passengers. The driver is treated to available heated/cooled front seats with massage. An available heated steering wheel for those chilly morning commutes. Thanks, glad you liked it +swboi80 PHILLY. The main difference beyond the styling is standard equipment. Both editions come standard with the 3.5L EcoBoost engine & 4WD. The Platinum includes every option, the Sport makes items such as the Sony audio system, BLIS, heated/cooled front seats, Enhanced Active Park Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Inflatable Rear Seat belts and Twin-panel moon roof optional. That's just some of the equipment you'll find in the Platinum over the Sport. I hope this helps you out?

Excellent question. No the only trim level with the twin-panel moonroof standard is the Platinum edition. The XLT, Limited and Sport models do all offer it as an option however. Thanks for asking!

My family member is looking at the 2017 Limited. We're given two engine options. What's the difference aside from the obvious? What performs better and lasts longer?

The 2.3L EcoBoost® is going to provide better fuel economy and the 10hp it lacks VS the V6 it more than makes up for with 55lb. ft. more torque. The 0-60 times are on par with each other too. There is a big difference in tow capacity. The 3.5L V6 can tow up to 5,000lbs. whereas the 2.3L is rated at 2,000lbs. Otherwise both engines have proven reliable and should continue to do so for many miles to come. It really comes down to preference and what your priority with it will be.

The naturally aspirated 3.5 l. V6 will last the longest. Turbocharged engines are more complex than N.A. engines and will probably give you more problems in the future. If it were me though, I would go for the ecoboost 3.5 in the sport and the platinum for the extra ponies. But if reliability is your main concern, I would go for either the naturally aspirated engine or the 2.3 engine.

It was an ok review however you did not show the dash or infotainment system. Is Apple car or Google Play compatible? Is the dash touch screen or push button? Infotainment systems are a huge part of the decision making process. Consider that in your next video. Now let me go find a video that talks about it.

Has anybody experience any issues with the ebt electrical body throttle? A lot of 2016 owners have been have been left stranded in the middle of highways. I just hope Ford hasn't made the same mistake with their 2017 models.
