Even if you are a fan of Marc, you have to give some credit to Jonas Folger for his massive efforts to challenge the Kaiser of the Sachsenring himself for the race victory in this very circuit. And speaking of Folger, it's a shame that he had to take a hiatus from motorcycle racing because of Gilbert's Syndrome...

Most extreme athletes have elevated bilirubin according to studies. By all theories gilberts syndrome actually improves an athletes performances not hinders them. Hell I've got no actual physical limits via having gilberts syndrome I tend to deal with endurance related tasks better than my friends who exercise equally as much. Now I'm not claiming you're wrong as beyond my own experiences with it and having read a total of two studies on how it affects athletes it seems to actually be a positive inherited condition in terms of athletic performances. So I'm actually curious what makes you think gilbert syndrome actively hindered him?

Dude I’m trying to get into MotogGp even went to COTA last year but too many sprints and the aero seems like the wrong direction. I love imsa WEC and gt racing but MotoGP eludes me. Feel like I’m late to a party that’s past its prime 😢

Marquez is absolutely andisputed..knows how to control the race..10 or 20 lap. He make sure he still in that position even someone pass him.. and after small lap to go. Gonna push it to hard harrasing infront of here. Pushing to the limit.

@HaydayValadez He did have an illness very shortly after this race, not sure what it was but it was career ending at this level, not sure what he went on to do/race.

@@mansellsaledge Fyi after Folger had been diagnosed with Gilbert's Syndrome, he did make a return to motorcycle racing in these classes: 2019: Moto2 (as a replacement rider) 2021: WSBK (as a full-time rider) 2023: MotoGP (as a replacement rider for Pol Espargaro)
