I just bought a used 2014 gmc Denali. Love it. It’s my first GMC. Love the space, wood and leather wrapped wheel, power folding mirrors, remote start, leather seats, and dvd entertainment system. It’s a big car but not too big. Might stick with GMC from now on!

I have to say this is a beautiful crossover. Honestly, the interior looks nicer than the MDX but I'm going to have to go in both vehicles in order to fully judge interior quality.

I bought the new addition to the Acadia line called ALL TERRAIN! It is without a doubt the best car I have ever owned. I have 14,000+ miles on it after a year, 10-18. Zero problems so far. The car goes 131 mph (GPS)flat out in the desert. No noise and the five seating is perfect for comfort in all positions. Huge amount of room for long trips with golf clubs and luggage in the back. The inside upholstery is tricked out with unique colors. Owned over 70 rigs in my road time! Check out on the net!

I’d say it’s really solid. We had the thermostat go out in Dec/23. Costly but what isn’t nowadays. How does yours shift? So I’ll give you a rundown of my issues. I am a little car savvy. So I got a great deal on this SUV. It was a certified preowned. So I was pretty confident it was a good purchase because they warranted everything. After a month of driving this Acadia I noticed that there were flares between first and second and third gears. That’s where there’s a delay in the shift. This had me worried. No issues when I took it back to the dealer, they pulled the transmission no questions to check it out. They had it for almost a month. Turns out they just changed the first second and third gear bands. So I did some investigation after getting it back. I think this is pretty normal for this SUV. It was shifting fine for a few weeks after then it did exactly the same thing all over again. So after digging through what I had found again it’s normal for these things to do this. That drove me insane. So I found an oil that is liquid gold no kidding. So that brings me to this. If you want your Acadia to drive down the road really well I couldn’t recommend any more than you finding an Amsoil dealer or a mechanic, who is already in the Amsoil league. it’s a little costly, but I promise it’s worth it. Change your transmission fluid, engine oil to the signature series and one last thing that differential fluid. You run Amsoil and all of that you’ll be just fine. are you in the states?

@@johnc7894mines shift just fine I haven’t had it but 48hrs.. only issue I noticed that the tire sensor light is coming and not reading the back passenger tire psi tire doesn’t need filled but I added a little just to see if the light would go off and I get a reading on psi for that tire.. so far no shifting issues we bought at 133k at a good price so am hoping this will be a great suv for the family we love it so far

My wife picked this car in March. Dealership had to sell 66 cars that month. Nearly 12,500 off sticker to make it just barely over 40,000 dollars. It wouldn't be my 1at choice but I don't have to drive it everyday. Drives very well and quiet.

Went with the 2018 GMC Terrain. Too bad the 2.8TDI baby duramax was not made available in the Acadia or Traverse and Buick Enclave. Happy the diesel 1.6TDI was made available for the Cruze and Equinox and Terrain vehicles. Great reviews As always.

Right now a 2017 and Acadia Denali V6 is going for right around $32k slightly used which makes this Acadia a really good deal even if you throw in an extended warranty. This SUV is perfectly sized for my needs (though I can understand where people are coming from if they own the previous generation Acadia) and the styling does look uniquely American.

A very comfortable car, and my father certainly likes the newer one over the 2016 & prior (the fuel economy then was deal-breaker). Nicer than the Explorer as well & the 6 seat configuration standard (and not an expensive option) is nice. Also nice is how GMC dialed down the overly gaudy chrome, now it is more tasteful than the last Denali which screams "gangster". . Still with the arrival of the Enclave & Traverse which sports the newer 9spd automatic, I'll wait for the 2018 Acadia.

I looked at 2020 Denalis on one of the online car sites, and it was routinely selling at $10,000 less than MSRP. That puts the actual selling price right there with the likes of the Highlander that doesn't get discounted much.

The Nissan Pathfinder also competes in this class and has better gas mileage in the city and the highway. It also has a better way of getting into the third row, better than the Pilot and MDX. The pathfinder also tows more than any other car in the class and has more technology (minus apple car play and android auto), the Pathfinder was also the first vehicle to introduce the around view monitor. In my eyes the Pathfinder is the best in this class.

The GMC 6 speed auto reminds me of our 72 LTD. You have to shift using your foot. Thus when you mention the torgue issue when you put the pedal down. It is a tad annoying to have shove the pedal down in a 385 HP car. I have a 14 Silverado LTZ and my other 2 complaints are the foot shifting (not the end of the world but....) and the climate control is also old school. 68 does not mean 68 like the Outback we have. GMC has fixed both these issues with the 8 speed and a different climate control system. They need to make the 8 speed an option on cars that have engines smaller than the 6.2L. I do love my Silverado. Just those 3 issues that they actually fixed (for a price). Get them to through in the all weather floor mats no matter what car you buy. I've gotten them thrown in right at the signature time when all the money has been figured out. Worked the last 3 times. All weather floor mats are so much better than stock. Save the stock for when you sell the car.

The front fascia reminds me of the Buick Rainier, and the rear resembles a Durango/Grand Cherokee. And what's with the poor fit and finish in some of these newer GM vehicles? It seems there's no shortage of auto reviewers pointing out something cheap or out of place in a GM car! Not a bad Crossover overall, but I'd personally choose the competition over this. Namely the Mazda CX9 and Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Interiors have never been GM's strong suit. I don't know why. The Cadillac's interiors are looking and feeling great nowadays. The new Chevy Malibu has horrible interior quality, and so does the Cruze despite their sad attempts to put some stitched leather in.

Not sure, we haven't driven the newest Explorer yet, just the older pre-refreshed model. The Ford certainly has an advantage in power, but it does cost even more than this Acadia. We'll have to test the new Explorer soon and let you know.

I'm sure it handles better than previous Acadia since it's smaller and weighs 700 lbs. less. Fit and finish issue drive me crazy though, so I hope that gets straightened out. I think it's a very good looking vehicle, and I like it better than the Highlander, the CX-9, and the Pilot, but not as much as I like the Explorer or Durango. GM vehicles are usually good but in a very average kind of way. They never seem to excel in any category. And the AWD system is probably the least adept in the segment. The Pilot and the Durango excel in that department for vehicles not really meant to be off road SUVs. I know the Acadia has an All Terrain model, but I've watched GMC's video promoting it and it's all mumbo jumbo marketing talk without real details and specifics.

We have a 2017 GMC Acadia Denali and recently got involved in an accident. A driver pulled out in front of us so we hit them at 50 mph. Not a single airbag deployed or worked. My wife was hurt badly and if the airbags would have worked, we wouldn’t be in this situation. GMC has serious safety problems and any trust we had in them is completely gone.

My neighbor bought a new one back in 2013, nothing but problems. Water was leaking into the roof sloshing around, got in from the moon roof that was closed, don't know how that happened. The one HID headlight kept burning out, they finally got rid of it. Had GMC back in the 90's, will never go back. Reliability is first in my book, looks are second.

I find it silly automakers haven't made HID's standard on their cars. It's been around now for a very long time and the LED lighting is still in it's infancy as far as automotive forward lighting goes in mass production (no I don't mean LED drl's or accent lights). Sooo what I'm saying is LED is newer and thus more expensive still, and is still finding its way into all models of the Corolla which is very inexpensive. They are also Bi-LED, meaning low beam and high beam. So how is it all these much more premium cars still offer halogens for base and HID or LED for premium levels. Just seems like a no brainer to me.

The new Acadia Denali is narrower on the inside from door to door. The front seats are much smaller then that of the bigger Acadia Denali! I did not find it worth the $53K they were asking for!

Why does the camera move while he's driving? Doesn't the Sony action cam have a feature to eliminate the movement?

The camera has a stabilizer and it was turned on during the test drive, but when you hit bumps, it will cause some minor shake. We actually think these action cams record higher quality versus the old GoPro's we used to have.

I’m sorry but I think this is a major downgrade from the last model. This model seems more cheap inside especially all the plastic and that wood trim is horrendous. GMC decided to remove LED turn signals in the rear and mirrors that have a turn signal in them. They also removed power folding mirrors too... interesting

The Enclave will have the same Buick "look" most likely like the new Lacrosse. The Traverse will look like the redesigned Trax and Equinox most likely. I just hope they don't get smaller in size.

J High they just released a new traverse that is quite a bit larger than the Acadia. That was probably the reason for shrinking the Acadia, since they actually grew the traverse.
