Great vehicle for the money. Even without the HFP package. I am on my second lease, had the 13 V6 coupe and mid cycle refresh 2016 V6 coupe. Car is quite fast.

2018 sure wasn't nice to you.... Hard agree though. The new system may have proven to be *slightly* faster but just one more thing to have to worry about replacing and loses all that J series glory. As great as a turbo for the V6 would be, there just isn't the aftermarket support to make it worth it. Sadly.

So much has been said about the lack of a volume knob for audio in the 9th gen Accord ~ I have an 2016 Accord EX-L V6 that I purchased new in Feb. '16... I use the audio volume control located on the left spoke of the steering wheel... and love the response & access. In my opinion: there is no need for a V control knob to clutter the dash

i traded in my 2015 and got this .. i used to hate the look of the 16s-17s but it grew on me over time. what i missed from the 15 is the ease of switching the camera views with the nob while reversing. in the new one you've gotta ease your back off the seat to touch the infotainment screen. but, the addition of android auto and carplay makes up for that. i can watch youtube via android auto's web brower! the only thing i need to add is the hfp sport suspensions, lower it 15mm and the hfp rims then it'll be fully hfp'ed out.

Agree. There's no way you can't get the 19's and suspension for $5k with some left to spare. That 'aero kit' surely doesn't actually do anything.

A manual accord alone is rare enough, a manual V6 is very cool. I like the idea of the HFP package but it's too expensive. Subaru BRZ performance package is $1900ish and the MX-5's is $3400ish and you get far more for your money. I've always wanted an accord V6 manual bc it's just not common, but for the money there are several other great choices.

The only important item are the suspensions of the HFP package, and you can buy them for 700 dollars on EBAY. + fitment I would say around 900, rest of the kit is for style, spare 4 k and just get the important peace (coilovers and suspension from HFP)

Alex Nunez its suspension upgrades. The car is already UNDERRATED at 278. It's making 302hp. You don't want more power in a FWD car already has plenty. The main complaint with this car is the suspension not matching the drivetrain

Got an Accord Coupe with V-6 6-speed manual about 5 months ago. Great car. Already purchased the Tein SA coilover system with the SPC 3-piece camber kit. Also purchased some Advan RZII 19x9.0 (front) [245/40/19] & 19x10.0 (rear) [275/35/19] racing rims that are 9lbs lighter at each corner. Getting everything installed soon, can't wait.

It seems that the V-6 manual trans has a VERY tall reverse gear which is fine if one wants to do 40 MPH backwards, but not good for long clutch life or for walking out of a parking spot. Did you perchance find using reverse to be awkward because of the gearing, or is it a non-issue because of the V-6's low-RPM torque?? Just curious. I'm starting to DROOL at the possibility of getting this car!!!!

so $5000 for essentially a slightly more sporty looking bod trim pieces that don't do anything, and suspension... maybe I'll just sink that $5000 into suspension I can get and install myself and then what's left and get intake and exhaust, probably even the J37 intake manifold and throttle body as well. Yeah, I'll take that option. Definitely love the car and want one in the future, but not dropping $5k for that.

$5,000. is far too excessive for red mats, a minimalist rear spoiler (which comes with the Touring model) and the better suspension with also comes with the Touring. Better to just purchase the Touring model and get it all performance features including the big V-6 278 H.P. engine. The Touring also include the full Honda Sense safety system which are worth their weight in gold and your life.

Everything is Great about this particular Honda Accord with HFP package from head to toes, One big thing is missing or I wish Honda could do to make this Beast more Fun Lively Amazing Performance oriented was to Add a Rear Axel by that I mean to Make it Rear Wheel Drive n everything is going to perfect. OMG I would fuck with BMW M MB AMG n I would pretty sure to beat their ass out no problem n I of course I would fuck with the engine to Boost HP n Torque. It's beautiful Beast but missing Rear Axle. Car already comes with suspension too... The difference is that all of these "upgrades" come from the dealer and covered under warranty. "Worth" is subjective, in this case. In my case, I had the HFP kit installed at the dealer and I took the stock wheels, tires, and suspension and sold it all for about $1200, so the $4k I negotiated for the HFP "kit" only cost me $2800. That's not too bad.

Yea I personally own an Odyssey and we got 2 other new Accord sedans in the house. They're great car, but really the coupe seems not that great compared to so many other offering. 3.5 278 hp is kinda weak compare to infiniti. Hopefully Honda have a revival and create some great new coupe that doesn't look so fat :D

JohnyTechReview Acura competes with Infiniti. This engine is putting out 302hp. Honda hasn't messed with the ratings since 2008 but have done numerous upgrades.

Well, I had the ability to drive both the Altima and Maxima V6 for about a week, and the Accord Coupe was MUCH more fun to drive. The real competitor to the Accord Coupe was the 370Z, and that was just TOO sporty for what I was looking for. The Accord was a good sweet spot, and it is super comfortable to drive. I'd argue that this coupe, specifically, is the last of a dying breed. There are no more sporty coupes based on sedan trims on the market. Everyone else gave them up, even Honda. This was a pretty special car. V6, 6MT, Coupe... Good car.

I just heard the name 'Douthit (Douthett)' and saw the location, and put the two together in error... FWIW, I lived in the Lake City/North City area of what is now Shoreline for about 40 years, hence my familiarity with the location. Back to the Accord- seriously thinking of getting a 2017 as the series has matured; I just can't decide whether to get a V-6 or an I-4. Regardless, I am SOOOOO thankful that Honda recognizes the fact that manual transmissions can be a deal MAKER for some of us. I insist on a manual trans, you have infinite control of torque application in adverse weather conditions... not to mention they are FUN... By the way, great video!!! Subscribed.

5k for those parts are total rip off. Red carpets? Are you serious. The only "Performance" aspect is the suspension and even that might be not a big upgrade. Add more horses (22HP would've been justifiable to get it to 300 or least closer to the Acura 290). Special edition trimming/lighting, exhaust system, drive modes, etc.

Save the money for real improvements - buy 3rd party lightweight wheels (will guarantee increase your acceleration times a good bit), a Progress sway bar, Jpipe, Ktuner, and J37 manifold.
