Best bang for the buck at $24,000 not a better deal out there....good combination of power and mpg, even when I flog it I get 38mpg!!! Yeah, they could have made it faster but the mpg would suffer, I think it's the PERFECT combination! I bought a new 18 last month...Agean Blue.

Just bought this car today. Love it. Here's to slavin away dem hours to pay if off while praying it doesn't get stolen lol I don't mind that it's a bit slower than my old Jetta V6. For me it's the style, comfort and handling that won me over. If I wanted insane speeds id have just kept my crotch rocket.

I love the way he compared it to the Focus & Fiesta ST’s, witch are the best handling front wheel drive Cars out there, I have a 2014 Fiesta ST and it’s like a Go-Kart, I’m so disappointed that Ford isn’t bringing the ST line up over from Europe for 2018, makes no sense.

Great review. Telling it like it is :) It's not a sports car but rather sporty and easy to live with daily driver. I got a reg civic 2006 and I swear it just gets better with age. The throttle response is absolutely perfect. It feels like a sports car with less power is all. I chirp the tires more often now because I am becoming more in tune. Very easy to drive fast. Be careful because it does want to run. Too easy to hit 80 MPH. Use the cruise control LOL The SI is my next car. I want a sportier car but the SI is probably my best bet as much as I hate it to be LOL

Great review. However, I think that Honda made a big mistake by not offering an Si version of the currently available hatchback model or a detuned engine version of the engine in the Type R.

They can't keep it within 25K if they have type R engine. As for body type, it is about where the car is made..Europe, vs North America. If you think about all the stuff this car does have...Its pretty freaking much for that price.

I've been in the market for a 2018 Honda Civic si and was wondering what type of fuel you put in it. I know the owner's manual states that the car should receive premium, but can it take regular? Furthermore, I think the car has a knock sensor that changes the ignition timing caused by the difference in the fuel quality. Still, I would like to eliminate knocking altogether to preserve the engine.

From what I have researched: basically you should always put premium especially if you are going to be driving it anywhere near red line. Drive it like a grandma and you can get away with 87 but long term it might not work out

LMFAO the end of days for Vtec. That’s such a stupid saying Vtec is a powerful technology that can still smoke most turbo cars. And the iconic high revving rpm pound for pound I think would smoke a modern SI anyday. Japanese engineering is a lot more superb than American cars

I have the 2018 LX Coupe and if I’m sitting up normally, my head is like 1-2 inches away from the roof. I’m 6’1 1/2. Love the car though. Definitely wouldn’t fit in the back seat however.

Idk how someone can say this was a good review like honestly it was trash 1. Learn how to drive this is a “SI” we wanna see it tear up. 2. Just because Honda designed it to be a cheaper sports car doesn’t mean it doesn’t have potential. 3. If you own a si chances are oh are going to modify so you do have more options then just the tires. 4. Where were the specs this is a sporty car where’s the 0-60 times and stuff. 5. You didn’t even mention the fuel cut out at 57 mph in second gear. Stuff like that come on man.

My turbo 8th gen si puts this to shame.. my k20 is waaaaaaay better than this piss ant 1.5L.. No sorry Honda made a mistake with this si model. They made mistakes with the type r as well.. being a 4 door only and has a manual transmission with lock out/grind issues. Meh

Wondering what your reliability is like on that engine with after market parts and turbo strapped on it? Are you going to get the great gas mileage and the same reliability that the 1.5 is going to get? There is much more than building a car than pushing as much power as you possibly can out of the engine. Can't stand you ricer fugs who care nothing about any of the other important statistics that go into building a car...all you get with you brain dead morons is "Muhhh honda is SOOOO much faster". Face / Palm. For the record, I owned a Civic SI with the K20 in it and while I feel it was a decent engine, id much rather have this new generation.

nah, this version is better as an all-rounder. You can get 35-40 mpg. Bolt-ons + hondata should be close to 100hp increase which you can switch 75ish of it off with the sport mode and still get practical daily driver experince. The lsd is this car is better, adaptive damper system and more room for tuning. This car is actually built for a turbo and getting 400hp out of this thing wouldn't be a surprised with minimal tuning. this car is so much more than the motor, just like the type r from the 90s is so much than its engine. The total package on the 10th gen is as close to perfect as you can get.
