Just took mine to the dealership and they said it was the fuel injectors. It is covered under the emissions warranty and they replaced them free of charge. This reboot worked but only for about a month. Then it wouldn’t go away.

Nice the day I made this, never had my issue again, Honda is great about emissions back. Wit hte 1st gen 100K you. Got a letter to come in to get all parts for free replaced, back in the 90’s. Glad you got it covered was a known problem in 2017

I totally regret buying the crv in 2021. I could've waited for the '23 because I tried rebooting the system and it didn't work. All I did was wait for an entire week and I can finally connect my phone. Infotainment is pretty slow too and '23 might be improved hopefully.

I had the brightness "slider" flashing on and off one morning and it stopped on its own. Had it NOT stopped on its own, I would consider the reboot as described in this video. BUT, I have a followup question: will the reboot wipe out my preset stations ---- what about the other settings and preferences that we've "edited" from the factory settings? Thanks!

to start the caar, you press brake and Push button, to go to acc you press push button twice. as per the instrument cluster, telling you?

My issue is the driver interface display (directly behind of the steering wheel in the dash) has been buffering for two days now. Messages such as "lane shift, or brake" still appears but music info is no longer displaying. Just buffering dots it it's place. UPDATE: Thank goodness I have friends and family who are mechanics. It turns out all I needed to do was press the information button on the steering wheel and toggle through the settings until I see the display I prefer to be on the screen. The buffering was only happening because I seem to change the screen display without realizing

if nothing works correctly that you can not clear then its time to visit a diagnostics that will charge if out of warranty. they should be lifetime of the car, as it is a safety concern. paid a lot of funds for firmware.

I have 2018 crv. It has adaptive cruise control flashing and off road mitigation I tried reboot but doesn't work I usually have this problem in cold. Cold weather anyone have any other ideas

Make sure you don't have anything plugged into the USB ports. Accidentally left a thumb drive in the aux USB and the dealer said I needed a completely new info unit at a price of $5,000. Fixed problem myself for nothing.

@@fishycomics The real problem was that the head unit waa trying to bootup off the USB drive instead of its internal drive. This left me with a completely blank and unresponsive unit that the dealer's electronics "expert" said failed all tests and required a totally new unit. Removing the sd card with a bunch of mp3 files fixed the problem completely.

However, I have a 2019 Honda HR-V... Battery was disconnected. Everything wrong when replaced. Honda's New solution. Just drive the car for about a Kilometer, everything resets itself!

@@fishycomics thought I would update since I did try the reboot and have done so many times. The reboot DOES, in fact work on fixing the brightness. It doesn’t appear to mess up anything else with the system, but I do have the brightness issue once every 3-4 months. I think my display is a lemon.

to reboot if stuck is to hold the volume for at least a few seconds, to factory reset is to go into the infotatiment, sys and scroll to vehicle settings tilll you see factory reset.

Your supposed to start car in "acc" mode.. then "reboot" .. this clears all set warning lights related to driving assist and electronic brakes, along with the entire "infotainment" system.

Was sitting on “Stopped” mode yesterday at a construction site. Decided I wanted to change my ACC speed because of the area I was heading into. As soon as I touched the “-“ button to reduce speed, every warning light on the dash came on. Shut the car off, restarted it and it runs fine but all the lights are still on as soon as you start the engine and the ACC, lane tracking etc will not engage. I’ve unhooked their battery and going to take it for a drive to see if it clears up. Checked my battery and it’s at 12.27V which seems a little low but hopefully these systems are more tolerant than that!

Hooked the battery back up, went for a spin and all the lights disappeared and the ACC works so fingers crossed. If it does it again I guess it’s the battery. Thank you for your help, I’m a new subscriber.
