This makes you realize that the 400Z is gonna be pretty fast with full bolt ons and a tune. The 400Z will be around 700lb to 800lb lighter than the Q60 coupe with the same engine. Yea that thing will definitely surprise people

You’re correct about the heaviest Q60 weighing around 4050lb. That should make the new Z around 800lb pounds lighter than the Q60. If the Q60 performs the way it does as a 4000 pound car, just images how a new 800 pound lighter new Z should perform with the same engine platform. These numbers are a rough estimate but a good way to gauge how fast the new Z can possibly perform.

7-800 where the hell are you pulling this number from? The 2020 370z weighs over 3450lbs vs 3750lbs rwd Q60. It's already announced by Nissan that the 400z uses the underpinning of the 370z which is over a decade old. So it's just an evolution. Add the turbos, more sound deadening, bigger brakes, modern infotainment, creature comforts, stronger suspension components, etc to that old chassis and it's going to weigh the same as a Q60. Nissan claimed it will be around 3250lbs for a base model "dry weight", which is suspect since it's the old 370z underpinning with way more stuff in it. 20 gallon of gas weighs 120lbs, add oil, trans fluid, brake fluid, coolant, washer fluid, etc. and who buys base model nowadays? and you have a pretty heavy 2 seater. The new G80 BMW M3 weighed in at 3760 with 1/8 tank of gas (G80 bimmerfest forum), that's with 4 doors and a useable back seat and trunk, dead quiet interior, modern tech, leather everywhere. The new Z is going to be a heavy car with no backseats and a small trunk. It's going to weigh as much as my 4 door e90 with xDrive.

I had a red sport but not really much, difference, a options up q60rs is 65k. An f80 witj some options was 70-75k. This RS was fbo on e, this was a stock cs, which ya it’s 100k, but it’s not really any faster than a base model, 25 hp, which means a 500 stage 1 flash on a base is gapping this

That’s not a regular M4 it’s a CS. And it’s produced around 450hp and weight 3,400 lbs something. Definitely that Q60 with bolts on impress. That’s a 4,000 lb car less hp from factory. Both cars are beautiful.

Tha hazards was just a big ass embarrament! Even if let's say he stayed ahead of the m4cs it is way too close to brag in such a manner. I was rooting for the underdog but Jesus the driver is a bad representation 😅. I want to get me a g37 and fbo with admin tune to be fast enough to beat some stock v8s. These new 3.0tt are great for easy power due to turbos but fall short top end due to turbos being too small or something like that from what I've heard other owners who race. Dig monster and quick from low end, but then drown in the top. If only they made the 3.7 into a successor modified to be forced induction friendly from factory then it would be monster, say like the gtr? Much more displacement with turbos and you get a great engine that don't lose top end and keeps on trucking. Then again engineering is everything cuz the new supra is also a 3.0l twin scroll turbo that is strong all around with fbo.

Q60 did well considering its approx. 500-600 lbs heavier. Also BMW power are underrated by manufacture. Good runs 👍
