이 작품은 2009년 부터 [차이의 향유]라는 표제로 작업하고 있는 연작의 2번째 작품이다.
이 연작의 테마는 “반복”이다. “반복”이 서양 음악사에서 뿐만 아니라 동양의 음악에서도 형식을 결정하는 중요한 기준이 되었듯,이 작품에서도 반복의 개념은 한 작품의 내부형식을 구성할 뿐만 아니라 작품들 간의 형식을 결정하는 중요한 요소로 사용되었다. 하지만 이 연작에서는 무엇을 어떻게 반복하는가에 대한 문제 보다는 왜 반복해야 하는가에 관한 물음에서 출발하였다. 이 질문에 관한 해답을 찾는 과정에서 프랑스 철학자 질 들뢰즈의 저서 “차이와 반복”을 만났다. 들뢰즈의 주장에 대한 나의 생각이 아직 완전히 음악적으로 정리되지는 않았다. 하지만 이 일련의 작업들을 통해서 나의 생각의 틀이 견고해지기를 희망한다. 지금까지 4편의 작품이 작곡되었고 현재 5번째 작품을 작업 중이다.

8. introduction of work :
This is Part II of a series I have been working on since 2009 with the title, “Appreciation of Difference.”
The theme of this series is “repetition.” As repetition has long served as a standard that determines the form of both in the Western and Eastern music and the East, the concept not only determines the internal structure of a single piece, but also serves as a key element of the overall structure that connects different pieces. In this work, however, I explored why repetition should be employed, rather than what should be repeated and how it should be repeated. During my search for the answer, I have encountered “Difference and Repetition” by the French philosopher Gilles Deleuze. Although my thoughts about his ideas have not been completely formed and translated into music, I am working earnestly to develop my ideas further through this process. I have finished four pieces thus far and am working on the fifth.

Sure I'm not alone in 'The West' in enjoying your Korean composers. We don't know them, & it's not always easy in translation to work out exact names.....but thank you for your uploads !
