I have seen a few convention videos and I have to say these ones are a lot better. I am guessing this is in the Europe? The audience is not as excitable and the actors have to work a lot harder. So much better than the US conventions!

You are definitely not alone in thinking that the conventions are ridiculously expensive! If you watch lot of these panels, like I do, you see a lot of comments from fans saying how they'd like to go to one but they'll never be able to afford it. I live around Phoenix and I would love to go to one, but I'm afraid I'll never be able to with those prices and it makes me sad, especially since the show will be ending soon, but what can you do? At one point Jensen and Jared were saying something along the lines of having a big showing party for the final episode in which they would attend also and watch it alongside the fans, that would be so cool, but I'm sure that would be expensive! I've been trying to find fans on here who live in Arizona that I could split the cost with who are possibly in the same financial situation and we could split the cost somehow. If you see this and are interested let me know! I hear these conventions are definitely worth the money and I would love to go before the show ends!

partially because people will pay it, partially because the guests have high appearance fees, partially because they're a business and they're trying to make money. Unfortunately conventions are a luxury, not a right. But the good news is you could go on a general admission ticket and still see the panels :)

Adding to what Kreespa said, they are celebrities. They have to travel all over the world. (mostly the United States, but they do go to other countries) They have to leave their families for a while so that they can meet all their fans. I've never been to a convention but I've heard it's worth the money. Plus, it's their job- that is how they get paid. Plus like Kreepsa said- it's a luxury and Creation needs a way to make money somehow.
