I have the 2015 Mazda 6. Has been running trouble free for 2 1/2. I love it.

the narrator did a fantastic job, and covered the key features with confidence and enthusiasm. He really highlighted the strengths of the vehicle. The video increased my interest in this car. It is a fantastic bargain, and so much more reliable, sportier and better made than many competitors. The Mazda 6 is a high quality car that has the ability to compete and beat the Audi A3, A4, Honda Accord and Camry.

I just bought my new 2017 Mazda 6 Grand Touring in red and I absolutely love it! Not only does it drive so smoothly, but it has power to it as well. I really like all the features and I always feel safe driving the car. Mazda 6 is the way to go if you're looking for a new vehicle.

More pep than 4 cyl accord or camery. Honda v6 has more power than it can get to the ground. Still awesome but mazda so far in 6 years of ownership is the most reliable car i have ever owned.

3 things. In essence a good review. Don't be afraid to edit your videos, if you make a mistake restart the clip, it won't flow nicely if you just continue. Find a way to stabilize the camera, far too shaky for what is clearly trying to be a professional job. Don't be nervous, easier said than done I know, but I can hear it in your voice. Make it fun. Can't stress the last point enough. There are hundred of car review based youtube channels. If you don't stand out you won't get a subscriber. Either take the feedback or ask what I know but either way, I think if you keep the videos as is you won't get very far.

Earlier ssr1680 commented about reduced EPA fuel efficiency estimates vs. 2016 models, and the video author commented attributing it to the 2017 reformulation. Unfortunately, there's definitely more to it than that. Using the i-ELOOP equipped trim as en example, the 2016 model was rated at 32/28/40 at release. That was revised to 32/28/38 under 2017 reformulation. The 2017 model is rated at just 30/27/35. The 2017 Mazda3 also has EPA estimates much lower than 2016. Using the 4-door 2.0L as en example, the 2016 model was rated at 34/30/41 at release. That was revised to 33/30/40 under 2017 reformulation. The 2017 model is rated at just 32/28/37. But this substantial YoY reduction in EPA estimate is *not* observed in the 2017 *CX-3*: the highway MPG is down just 1, and city is the same. That matches exactly the reduction seen from the reformulation of the Mazda3 and Mazda6. My best guess is that it's because of G-Vectoring control. Dave Coleman said the torque reduction is (normally) achieved by retarding ignition timing, so surely that's messing up optimal engine efficiency. The Mazda3 and Mazda6 have GVC new in the 2017 model, while the CX-3 does *not* have GVC. GBraidi78 I'm assuming you are referring to when I speak about i-ELOOP and better MPG's achieved with it? Why Mazda didn't offer the turbocharged engine as an option for this car?
@ravenjames38737 жыл бұрын
you don't need a turbocharged engine in every car. it would be nice as an option, but 185hp is more than enough for most people for every day driving. 0-60 times is 7.8 seconds.

Hi @GAG ! Do you think Hyundai Sonata 2017 or Mazda 6 2017 better?
@GrapponeAutomotiveGroup8 жыл бұрын
Hi Ngoc, great question and honestly a tough one to answer.... I truly enjoy both of them. The Mazda6 is available with a 6 speed manual transmission - something I love and will always choose over an automatic. However the Sonata is available with a turbocharged 4cyl engine which makes it both fast and frugal on gas. If it were me I'd have to drive them back to back and then make a pro/con list - I like them both that much!
@ShannonChristineGoan8 жыл бұрын
Ngọc An Nguyễn We've had our 2017 Mazda 6 GT with the premium package for 1 month. We came from a 2011 Hyundai Sonata Limited 2.0T. Although the Sonata was an extremely fun car to drive, the car started to fall apart quickly. The engine fully seized and was replaced at 45,000, with the gas mileage PLUMMETING following installation of the rebuilt engine. The cruise control and all of the rest of the controls on the steering wheel stopped working at 50,000 miles. The steering coupler also failed and had to be replaced at 50,000 miles. The cabin always felt like the heater was on due to the poor insulation between the engine and the cabin, necessitating running the A/C frequently. The leather felt like plastic. Additionally, within a year, the vinyl on the steering wheel and the silver edging on the dash began to peel. These issues with the Sonata would not be noticed on a test drive but crop up when you drive the car daily. So, while the Sonata was fun to drive, the cheapness and poor quality of the vehicle made it one we were glad to get rid of in exchange for the Mazda 6.

The mpgs dropped off big time for 2017, wasn't it 40mpg highway in 2016 model year ? What happened here?
@GrapponeAutomotiveGroup8 жыл бұрын
ssr1680, great attention to detail, thank you for making me look into this - I hadn't noticed myself! After much research it has been determined that for 2017 the EPA tests to calculate the window sticker MPG has changed. Included now is a test called "coastdown" which demands the automakers calculate the mechanical resistance and aerodynamic drag at high speeds (aka highway driving). This has caused most, if not all 2017 vehicles sold in the USA to see a drop in their highway economy rating to better reflect the actual projected MPG for the consumer. It is unlikely that this Mazda6 will see any physical difference in MPG over last year, the numbers now better reflect what the consumer should have been achieving all along. Hopefully I explained that without being overly wordy - please let me know if it makes sense!

are skyactiv engines with direct injection as prone to carbon build up as others? i was looking into getting the mazda6 until i found out it was a gdi.. makes me hesitant. i want a car that wont have to be in the shop every 50k miles to remove the build up... i also know nothing really about cars and wouldnt feel comfortable trying to clean it myself. toyotas dont interest me, honda accord is my other choice however the newer models are also gdi engines.
@GrapponeAutomotiveGroup7 жыл бұрын
Mary - I reached out to my Mazda shop contact. They have only had one case of carbon buildup, citing that it is very uncommon. Hopefully that gives you some piece of mind. Given that GDI engines are so popular with many manufacturers, it seems unlikely that with regular maintenance you will have major issues.

@GrapponeAutomotiveGroup8 жыл бұрын
RgKkK I haven't taken a 2016 out for a long enough drive to be able to comment on that. I can speak of the 2017 and say that I was surprised with how quiet it was on the highway and elsewhere. The road noise was very muted. Are you looking into a Mazda6?
@CrAzYAmMaR18 жыл бұрын
ofc would be asking this if i wasnt the problem is the front glass is not the same sport as it is in gt i heared the glass in gt is soundproof i dont know if that would make a big difference cause im going to buy the sport model , if there was a test drive available i would of tested it my self but sadly the test drive is not available for m6 2017 ( at least in my country ) thank u for responding :)

Grappone Automotive Group dude is there any difference between the sport and gt in noise insulation i heard that the gt has soundproof glass and insulation materials but the sport doesnt !
@GrapponeAutomotiveGroup8 жыл бұрын
RgKkK, it has taken a bit of research to discover anything about this. What I can find is directly from Mazda who says regarding the Mazda6 "All Models: Enhanced sound insulation". Beyond that bit of information I have not been able to find anything that discusses differing windshields. You mentioned not being in the U.S. so it may be that Mazda offers slightly different content in the vehicles where you are.

is it in fact more quiet inside at motorway speeds ?
@GrapponeAutomotiveGroup8 жыл бұрын
Jamin, thanks for checking out a few of our videos! I'm not entirely sure I understand your question, but I will start off by saying that my microphone always seems to exaggerate the highway noise. The Mazda6 was very quiet on the highway with typical road/wind noise intruding the cabin. I didn't need to speak louder to the camera or to my co-pilot while we drove. I hope that answers what you were looking for!

0:37 is a huge turn off for me with this car. It's really nice car. But a car of that size & class doesn't include the automatic hinge to keep the front hood open by itself? You have to do it manually? That stinks. Other then that, this is really a nice car, just needs the Turbo Charged Engine from the CX-9.
