Круто! Вот бы у нас такие дерби были, а то работают некоторые на комбайнах которым по 40 лет.

Get some farmers in the area to find some old machines and organize one yourself. Sell some tickets, make some money off of it. Good luck!

I love watching these combine derby video's, however this one is like watching old people shuffle around aimlessly in a nursing home, nothing moving around, just a kissing competition.......

Events don't start like this ;) but yes at the end. Who doesn't like a slow motion train wreck?

This is kind of random and I'm not knocking what you're doing necessarily. But if you look and see at the problems that farmers are having now with the new computerized equipment you wouldn't understand why destroying all this old equipment is not necessarily a good idea. It eliminates any potential Parts out there to keep the Old Reliable mechanical equipment still going therefore making the Farmers dependence on the new equipment that can be shut off with the flick of a switch

You have a point, but many of these machines are past their useful life - it will cost thousands upon thousands to get running to spec and by that time you can get a newer one. They don't make financial sense. Many of these machines are from the 60s and 70s. The other thing is these machines were sold by farmers who wanted to get rid of them - there is no humane society for farm machines to go to wait to be picked by someone else. They are sold and bought on the used market. But yes, your point of newer equipment being able to be shut off is valid, but there is no practical way to implement what you are proposing. I do wish there was an affordable second market because many of the good parts are not removed and if there was, and folks could get some money, it would be worth it. Not much is needed for these machines to run in a derby, there are a lot of threshing parts which could be re-used if there was a way to market it easily. I know many who just toss the parts or don't remove them because there is no easy way to sell them.

Battery disconnected and my combine (#1) died. It was slowly disconnecting at the end so every time I hit, the motor cut out - then it finally gave out.
