But they do..so people run these courses. I think they should allow them but have a handicap system...like golf. So in this handicap system you would add time for each 1000 foot elevation drop in a marathon. Say add 2 minutes per/1000 foot drop. You could even use analytics to determine a fair handicap time for downhill courses. But I dont think just not allowing them would be fair either. all problems have fair solutions!

Thanks for the video. I'm thinking of signing up for this year and saw your video. I'm not a fast runner. I do walk/running. Hope to run Boston some day.

If someone thinks it’s easier to run downhill then try running it. Most cannot since it’s very challenging on your quads and ankles. I know so many who tried and failed miserably.
