Congratulations Tord! This was a fun battle even though I stopped trying to play competitively in Gen 4 at the TCG. It was fun getting back in the loop and seeing how much things have changed since the last year or so since I last checked. At least the Pokémon TCG still seems fun unlike Yugioh current meta (Magic the Gathering is always decent)

Question to competitive players, why are they able to cut their own deck after their opponent cuts it? Isn't that against the rules to shuffle after your opponent cuts or shuffles your deck?

Breath of the wild sold 2.9 million in its first 3 months.. Sun and moon sold 14.6 million in the same time. Not really a dying platform. Edit: S&M sold 14.6 million in just over a month after release.

Tord used Tapu Lele GX which allows you to search a supporter card from your deck. This is where the Lysandre came from.

You should use devolution spray with vileplume so you can use items on your turn and then revolve gloom so your opponent can't I'm only so far in the video so I'm not sure if that's what john does...

Too slow in the moment; lots of discard searches. Knowing exactly what your opponent has done and exactly what they could play is important, but tournaments are all timed and so the rules require even Slowpokes like me to keep up the pace.

North American INTERNATIONAL Championships. It's open to all regions. It's a new thing they are doing this year, instead of National Championships like in years past.
