There is no true car enthusiast who can deny any Porsche 911 from any year, it's "best in it's time" top tier sports car position in this world. You can be jealous because you can't afford them, you can try to downplay their exceptional performance comparing apples and oranges, you can dismiss their good sense to evolve a classic body style, you can cry about their cost (actually "value" is the appropriate term, as they retain their value for decades and often appreciate), and on and on, but the truth is, you either have simply never driven one, you are not a true sports car "enthusiast" or you simply don't appreciate the art of driving and the feeling of being one with the road (or track) beneath you.

The gts is in between the S and gt3. If you want to see a good review of the gts with the manual, watch TheGetawayer's review. He does a very good job of describing how the car actually feels

Gorgeous car, love that red, GTS is a great version, more than enough power. Cool to see Summit Point Raceway Shennandoah track, I've done it a few times on a Suzuki GSX-R750, definitely a fun curvy track with some tricky sections.

I agree that the GTS is the sweet spot in the 911 lineup, offering the best balance between price and performance. The only model that beats it is the new GT3 Touring simply because it comes with the amazing 4.0 na flat 6.

it isnt cheap, but i love the bridge between comfort and speed porsche creates. if i had the money the 911 4 gts would be my daily driver. the new exteriuer options make a nice fit to the white color, its just beautyifull. i didnt see on driver on this car with no feelings after driving.

Ahh, the track... where everybody spends all their time. I hardly have time to drive around town, for being at... the track. Car shows seem to spend all their time at the track, too! Great news, if you are an automobile manufacturer creating cars to impress car shows.

Better off buying a dodge viper if you want a track car.

Can't beat a Go Kart for fun, TireKickers. The problem is that car manufacturers seem to be designing new cars based on the feedback they see from car journalists, who spend too much time on a closed track and not enough time applying the vehicle to daily life. Case in point would be car journalists who promote the racket of an "exhaust note," without having to live with that racket all day, everyday. If exhaust racket is in such high demand, then satellite radio channels would play that racket 24/7, giving their audience what it wants to hear: revving engines and exhaust noise channel.
@tirekickers66327 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's some crazy high percentage of even sports cars that never see the track! Driving on a track vs a real road are night and day differences for how'd you set them up.

@tirekickers66327 жыл бұрын
Yeah, middle age white dudes having a mid life crisis are their demographic. Good to not be there. I'll take the 2017 dodge viper and rape this thing on the track because that 120,000 goes a lot farther for your money if you want a track car with the dodge viper.
@KingKwon7 жыл бұрын
@TireKickers, Why is it that people who can't afford things in life always try to justify how things are a waste of money? I really don't think a person shopping a 911 GTS is cross-shopping a Dodge Viper. I know I wasn't when I purchased my 911S. BTW, 36 years old when I purchased it. Not exactly middle age. But thanks for the generalization.
@tirekickers66327 жыл бұрын
Lol, I don't care. You still bought an overpriced beetle. You gave me no case for justifying the 120,000 dollar price tag except for the fact I can't afford one? Awesome logic and definitely not some emotional triggered response because I dare criticize your sporty beetle. I can't afford a 118,000 dollar Dodge Viper acr but it's definitely not a waste of money. Haha, you don't think someone would be cross shopping for a dodge viper? Really because you didn't? I didn't know you were the only person in the world. FYI, 36 is damn near middle aged. Most people die around 70-80 so by definition you were middle age so thanks for proving my point.
@KingKwon7 жыл бұрын
@TireKickers, From a guy who drives a 12+ year old G35...yeah your opinion on 'performance' car matters. Ha! Just keep dreaming about what you can't have, brah. $120K isn't a small amount of money but I don't lose sleep over it. Sad part is...when you're 36 years of age, you probably still won't be able to afford a $100K car. I hope you don't call yourself a car enthusiast. Any moron who thinks the 911 is just a Beetle is just that, a moron. Just like a Viper ACR is just a Dodge. You see where I'm going? What is this about being "emotional triggered response"? You're the guy with the insults, remember? To me it sounds like you got triggered by my demographic response. I just pointed out a fact you don't have the money to afford a 911, which is true. So you're not in the demographic. You came slinging dirt about how old white middle aged guys are the demographic yadda yadda yadda, glad you're not one...remember? Geez, good luck with life, kid.
