@@zapantaashleylouiser.5088 Javi said that Yuzuru made an excuse and that there's no hole in the ice during beijing'22 when there obviously is a huge ass hole. Even photographs showed how deep it was. I don't know where but Javi said in interview before that he and Yuzuru are not friends, they just trained in the same ice rink. I also saw some spanish casual fans claiming that Javi has always been shady during interviews in their language but no one believed them because Javi and Yuzu's friendship was important but yeah, I guess, there are always hidden jealousy and hatred seeing someone continuously succeed, gain more popularity & recognition and become the dominant player in the field.

@@zapantaashleylouiser.5088 many have said that the translation is sort of inaccurate, as in many Spanish people. He issued a public apology on his Instagram and explained in more detail what he felt, but I do hope he apologised to Yuzuru personally, cause being called a liar by one of the people you used to be closest to can’t feel great.

@@abbiecampfield8955 Human beings make mistakes. If Javi said there was no hole, indicating Yuzu just used that as an excuse to save his ass (which I think is so not like Yuzu's character, btw) then Javi made a huge mistake. If he realized that and apologized properly then he has to be given the benefit of the doubt. I think they had a true friendship and that's worth more than a few wrongly put words. 🤞
