Historic racing cars are so much more interesting than new hyper-exotics. I like cars that earned a seven-figure price from decades of provenance, not a shiny play thing with zero kilometers that was pre-sold to a doctor claiming to be worth $3,000,000 out of the factory. What happened to being ABLE to drive a fast car quickly? You can get a new Mazda MX-5 Cup Car for $60,000 yet hardly any billionaire would be able to take Eau Rouge flat in even that. I admire guys who pound around in their Spices and Lolas, pushing a car that held a racing driver vying for a position, battling for points, recognition, respect or even the top of the podium. Anybody can walk in and buy a Ferrari. So I love what Peter Auto does and my soul is fed on these videos, honestly. The details like the tubing for ventilation, roll-cage bars, scratched fiberglass and guys with a smile on their faces knowing they could have made it allot easier on themselves if they just spend the $250k on a McLaren and went out to dinner. Guts. Pretty girls aren't seeing you at stoplights, the average Joe has no idea what an ORECA is and won't be impressed at the pub when you tell him your lap time... But racing cars are just... MORE than all of that nonsense. And I love it.
