I want this car so bad for camping in. It possibly can’t be slower than my 200hp Toyota minivan lol. I miss the stick shift cars I grew up in. Beautiful car with the added space.

It would be a great car for camping off the grid and what not, I took it to Colorado and it had no issue on the offroad trails.

Is it decently quiet in the cabin? We have a 17 Outback Limited for my wife and it has a surprising amount of wind noise. Other than that its a phenomenal vehicle. I'm considering picking one of these with a manual for my daily.

It's a solid car, I dont really notice and wind noise personally but I will say that I wish the car was a little faster.

Looking to get this car with a manual. Have you had a chance to drive long distance? How is the comfort level? I occasional drive 10-12 hours, so that is a factor for me.

I took it on a road trip from Austin Tx to Colorado and it was comfortable. But I would suggest to get the car in white or a bright color because the ac struggles to keep up in the heat.

It's so hard to find these on the used market. Currently driving a 2018 Mazda 3 6MT but I need more space

Its a solid car, but honestly I would look at a older rav 4 or forester, this thing is incredibly slow.

@@YBY3 do you suppose it's slower than a manual base Crosstrek? Apparently that only gets a 2.0L, I was hoping the Forester would be quicker with the 2.5L and have more space

@@TheEmpoleon123456789 It's probably quicker by a little or the same, I don't know for sure, the quickest 0-60 I got around 10 secconds. @@TheEmpoleon123456789 My buddy had a crosstrek in the cvt not manual, I have the manual forester and it was significantly quicker. Still slow and struggles on all hills.

Yes, 60%, in the front, 40% in the rear

Just got a 2016 with MT, kinda struggling. Previous car didn't have hydraulic clutch and was much smaller/lighter/fwd. It's kind of a pain in the ass to drive. I think I need to do the idle reset thing too

There is a spring under the clutch peddle. I removed mine becuase it’s hard to drive without feeling the bite point..

Sounds like you had a lot of road noise transmitting into the cabin, either that or one of your wheel hubs were bad.

When this was filmed, pretty sure all of the wheel bearings where bad, I recently had them replaced though, I will probably make another one of these.

What trim & engine? Alsl sounds like it has an aftermarket exhaust?

hey man! currently own a 2018 forester premium and was hoping i could get your opinion if i were to convert my cvt automatic transmission to a manual one? I've been finding it kind of boring just using the gas and brake and sports mode doesn't really give you that fun because its only with a press of a button. Hope to hear from you man! thanks.

I had a 2017 cvt before hand and just traded it for a Manual, I am overall satisfied with it. A convert would be alot of time and money and could effect reliability. I’m pretty sure the engines are also running different tunes. I would look to see if any manual ones pop up on carvana or something. I would also look into different models which still offer manual.
