I own a 2017 Tu250X. Its a wonderful bike I use for around town and some quick high way riding to get to places. I installed a taller front sprocket to achieve better highway speeds.

Perfect bike for city riding. It's not as expensive as other entry level bikes. The bike does offer power on demand. It's also stylish, and very fuel efficient.

I have a 2011 model. I stripped it down a little, and put trials tires, to use on back roads and gravel. Great little bike for 60 mph or less. Very easy to ride and dependable. I am also in central Tx.

I’ve had lots of bikes. I have more fun on the smaller bikes because you can ring their necks without sticking yours out. On the flipside of that, who can ring the neck of a Hayabusa on the street? I don’t mean just go fast and then slow down quickly. I mean Peg the tachometer in every gear all day. That’s impossible. But on a 250, you can do that all day and you’re not really going that fast. Running a slow machine makes you a better rider.. you learn to maintain momentum, pick proper lines, stay off the brakes, be in the correct gear to maintain momentum, you learn to get a feel for when the motor is working happily, and when it’s lugging or straining. Of all the bikes I have owned, my favorite commuter was a KLR 650 That I attached hard equipment cases that look like Krause saddlebags, and I put street tires on it. The best part of every day I had to go to work was commuting to and from work, even if it rained.. The TU 250 has the look I like. I am looking for a used one/I have been looking for a used one for about two years. You just don’t find them for sale. People end up keeping them..A few years ago, Kawasaki had a very nice single cylinder 250 -4stroke water cooled that was for the Japanese market only.. they never brought it here to the US.. I know the sporty 250 Honda is a reliable machine. A friend of mine rode his from Florida to Pennsylvania and back three times on interstate 95. My buddy is a light weight, about 140 pounds, he fits the machine, but I am 230 pounds. I’m a little too big for the Honda, but I fit the tu250...I am still looking

Agreed, sure you can go 0-60km per hour in Australia as quick as you want but then what? I don't see the point in buying a powerful sports bike only to stay in 1st and 2nd gear! A 250cc is perfect for anything 0-110 km/ph

We've had one of these in our garage for about 5 years. Great bike. I even rode it 300 miles one day to get it to my wife (her bike). Where's the SR400 video? If it was available in Canada we'd probably have one by now.

This one looks smaller than my '18 Yamaha V Star 250 lowrider cruiser? I like my torquey V-Twin. Good for beginners, short folks or older riders like me. Plenty for me to toss around at 326lbs.

Hey, test rider in the video here. I'm not nor was I ever a "professional" test rider. I simply didn't pay attention to that detail. My job when I worked at this dealer was multifaceted. I was the finance manager, marketing manager, inventory manager, and salesperson. I literally threw on the Gopro, jumped on the bike, and then uploaded it to youtube. Notice how there was no editing or cuts in the footage? Quick and dirty ride impression videos was the name of the game.

300lb, 300cc, 30hp, 30ftlb, 30in seat height, 3 gallon tank, 100mph top speed, and this would be most superb.

Used an older GoPro Hero 3 Silver with a generic external wired mic clipped to top of the helmet's breath guard. It is a very budget setup basically scrounged up from random hardware laying around the shop. We would like to put together a little higher production quality videos in the future.

How can you say it competes with a bike which has three times the horsepower and cost three times as much?! The Yamaha 400 is no competition for this tiny little 250.
@aaronbehindbars
@aaronbehindbars 3 жыл бұрын
Hello Brian, I'm the person who shot this video. I assume you are exaggerating the price at power difference, but they are not drastically different Yamaha SR400 made 25-27 hp at an original retail cost of $5990. The Suzuki made 18-20 hp at a cost of $4649. Now that both bikes are only available in the used market, their prices might be even closer. They're both relatively lightweight, inexpensive, beginner focused, retro standard motorcycles. They absolutely do compete.
