The standard Tahoe PPV has center jump seat for the front that can easily be removed

I have several questions... haha. You mentioned a fair increase in price from the base model - how significant is the increase in price? Is that offset by the discount you get by ordering on the city's account? And did you mention that with the PPV the third row seating is not an option? Also, you mentioned you got the towing package. From my research, the SSV comes with the full towing package, i.e. higher towing capacity. With this towing package you ordered is it a full towing package or just a hitch option?

David Woolcock so... the outright price for a PPV when I called as a private buyer, was around 38k add the carpet, remote start, cloth 2nd row, full civilian console and factory trailering package it got up to about 42k. I’m not sure what the city’s cost was for this particular Tahoe... I believe it’s about 32 or 34, not sure...the trailer is just the hitch package with standard towing, the full trailer package comes with the cooler and the EBC. Update on the 3rd row... it was not an option when ordering, my cousin is a police Officer and he just purchased a new ppv and the dealer service department added a 3rd row, and he is also getting the full my link system installed with screen... I am checking by next Friday with a dedicated PPV person at this dealer in Houston to see what the cost is to add the 3rd row to our 2 units...

David Woolcock it’s rough, not too terrible, but night and day from the civilian model... I’ve been told it feels like a lifted truck.

doctorhonda111 there are three options when ordering, no console, half console which is like a large arm storage armrest that has three cup holders and a set of seatbelts for a center seat, or a full civilian console which is the one we specs, the full console is the only one that gives you rear AC controls.

Andrew Aleman ah! Gotcha! I have a z71 midnight edition and looks a lil bit like a PPV but it’s very tall compared to an actual PPV considering it has off-road tires and 18 inch rims. I really want to put a push bar on but have a little obstacle because of the skid plate and tow hooks in front.

STEPH3N LOPEZ jelly of the z71 bruh 😍. Yea this is no where near the height of the z71. Maybe after we get the lifts approved lol. But the tow hooks should come off? And they should have a push bar specific for the z71... and PPVs come in 4x4 with skid plates so there has got to be a adaptation for that!!

Derek Wu as far as I know you have to be affiliated with a public safety entity or a private company that provides safety or security services. Example for the the private company is like a chemical plant, that has in-house fire department, or security.

Derek Wu carsforsale.com and other sites often have Caprice PPVs, and plenty of other law enforcement cars with low miles that were used as demonstration units. They usually have very low miles so they are the closest you can get to new.

@@DomDanCam the way the PPV drivetrain is tuned for pursuit, the rear end is very torquey.. so getting on the gas will get some tailspin depending on what the ESC and Stabilitrak will allow which is also tuned differently for the PPV.

I had a Gmx Yukon xl 2014 . I TRADED IT WITH A 2017 SUBURBAN LTZ . I CAN TELL YOU THAT THE OLDER MODELS ARE MUCH BETTER BUILT . HEAVY DOORS. LESS ELECTRONICS . THE NEW MODELS TILL 2020 IN MY OPINION LOOKS REAL GOOD BUT THEY CHEATED A LOT ON MATERIAL USING TO BUILD THESE CARS . BUT THE INTERIOR IS A WAY BETTER .UNFORTUNATLEY I THEY MESSED IT ALL UP IN 2021 AND UP NOW WE GOT BAD LOOKING TAHOES AND THE WORSE ENGINES EVER

marks man there are a few ways... if you want to buy new, you will need to be a first responder, police, fire, EMS, Emergency Management, etc... usually the dealer will require a letter with a letter head from your department or organization signed by the chief director etc. The other option is find these vehicles used which you purchase like a regular vehicle. Best thing to do is ask you dealers fleet department to see how they can assist and if they know of any other ways of purchasing a new one.
