2018 1 9 HIGHLIGHTS Game 4: Maria Carrillo Varsity Soccer v Santa Rosa

Maria Carrillo High School Boys' Varsity Soccer team won a tough battle against Santa Rosa High School 2-1 on January 9, 2018. Ryan Dieter opened the scoring about 5 minutes into the first half with a rocket of a free kick from the 15 yard line. Two minutes later, Carrillo goalkeeper Christian Gonzalez drop-kicked the ball from Carrillo's 10 yard line, it bounced twice, and Ricky Hernandez volleyed it into the back of the Santa Rosa net from 5 yards out.
Both teams had several chances, but Santa Rosa's Bryan Sanchez was the only one to again find the back of the net when he converted a penalty kick in the second half.
