You need to disconnect the ANC and add a JL Fix in a 2018 accord to make this work right. It does sound amazing once you do that. XD700/5v2 amplifier plus FiX-86 and custom box in the side panel with a shallow mount JL 10". Balance knob for the sub but other than that factory head unit controls it all. Step up to Audison AV K6 In the front doors and be amazed. First step is about 1800 dollars second step 900 dollars. Amp and Fix under front seats sub in right rear fender well.

$1800 !!! To give louder and better sound ? Or to replace speakers along with amplifier?? Lol this was unheard of with my older rides but those were the late 90's early 2000's, never wanted car payments but when i saw 18-22 accords i had to have it, still have my 95 integra gsr and 93 accord wagon with no problems from either, im doubtful my 2022 accord will be without problems 25+ yrs from know and we all know what we paying for them in first place, car gonna be my casket only 5yrs to go $594mo and $300ins $900month honda !!! I just bought a 2020 sport 2.0t. The sound system is not bassy. But they make up for it in clarity, and lack of coloration. I hear instruments that my 2020 Ram 1500 Longhorn with a Harmon Karmon system doesn't seem to get through as well. I like the sound system as it is.

Well i got 2022 accord sport 2.0 and its not just bass that sucks but the highs do as well and isn't loud whatsoever, so my question is did you only add subwoofer system or upgraded the door speakers as well ?? I cant see it possible for the weak factory system having enough loudness (voice) clarity to go along with aftermarket subwoofer system with anything more than 200watt rms, plus using a ported enclosure which is wise choice would be even louder, i want overall better souding system than what $42k gives 😒 but not sure if just adding 4 ch amp with 400w+/- would fix this or just replacing front speakers with component speakers and amp 🤔 ? Ive never had to wonder what to do until geting car this dam high tech and fact of needing factory stereo, also means my first time experience requiring use of signal converter device to use amplifier, im assuming this is needed first before anything correct? Like that color, i got blk/blk and man that was a mistake, im in orlando,fl and car gets baking hot inside whenever parked in open 🤒

I just upgraded my 2020 EX Accord with Alpine's PSU-300ACD kit. The Alpine kit is 4-channel powered amplifier along with an 8” powered subwoofer. The kit uses factory connectors. No wire splicing needed. I also replaced the car’s 8 factory speakers with component speakers. Alpine's in the doors and Pioneer’s in the rear deck. The whole upgrade was about $1,000. I basically added an external amp which is something you would do with any aftermarket sound system. Regarding the speakers, I never found the need to replace them. I know some people are very particular and go as far as replacing all their factory components and tweeters,I never did that and found that the sound was just find for my taste. Obviously everyone will do things differently. I was looking to compete so saving money in not replacing the components worked for me.

Adding a 10 inch sub does not improve sound quality, those stock mids and tweeters sound too dry, I have the touring 2.0t and it’s an ok system, has stock components in the front and in the rear, but not much quality, the 10 inch he installed can give better quality bass if he added a dsp to clean the stock stereo signal, tapping straight off the stock sub signal is cheap quality( don’t even know if his Accord has a sub, he is probably tapping of the rear deck speakers, still a cheap signal), he says his sub hits hard but I don’t see it, no rattle or flexing at all, this guy doesn’t know what a system that hits hard is.

@@ULSB1969 that's what I figured. I wanted to have a better quality sound system all around, prefer a crisp punchy bass to a car vibrating bass anyway. Any idea what brand speakers I should look into?
@ULSB1969
@ULSB1969 5 жыл бұрын
Ryan Anthonypillai -focal speakers are of great quality, I would start with the Focal Access 165 A1 6.5, from there you can go to higher quality like the PS flax series, they have even higher end components but it all depends on your budget, but I wouldn’t buy anything lower than the Access series, if you are looking into keeping all the features from the stock stereo then keep the stock stereo and interface a dsp straight of the low signal coming off the stock stereo, let the dsp give you a cleaner signal to feed to the aftermarket amps. You can also get the signal out of the stock amp, but it wouldn’t be as clean going to the dsp.

And a nice 1k amp audio pipe makes some good ones and enjooyyyy

Thanks for the support! I have the basic sound system on my vehicle. I'm pretty sure all Sport trims come with stock sound systems except for Canadian models which come with a 8 inch sub. I looked at the rear deck and if you really wanted to you can cut out a whole where the 8 inch sub would go and I would dare to say that there is plenty of room on there for a 10 inch.

@@drake9591 since all trims share they same chassis, the rear deck supports a sub installation whether it be factor or aftermarket. Thanks for the support!! Honestly, I had this very elaborate plan where I was going to custom cub a 1/2 inch thick plywood that would go underneath the trunk carpet and bolt that to the frame of the vehicle. Confidently if you lift up the carpet and look near the spare tire, you will see two perfect holes that you can use to told the plywood too. And then I would drill the actual box to that plywood with L-brackets. I hope all of this made sense. I've heard of people simply stapling Velcro to the bottom of the bottom of the box. Let me know if you have any questions.

So when I first got the car without the upgraded sub, I thought that the stock components had a nice crispy sound to them, that's my assessment on them. After installing the sub I felt like the components didn't get lost in the bass of the sub and actually sounded really good so I decided to keep them. I know there are people who are very meticulous about changing every single speaker in their car, I personally didn't and can say that the sound is pretty crisp coming from the JL with stock components.

I replaced the door and rear deck woofers with a 2 way speakers - I did not touch the stock tweeters - it made an incredible difference in the sound quality. The only sticking point was securing the speakers to the mounting brackets supplied for the car. The holes in the speakers didnt line up well, so i used the supplied clip, threaded the screw through the speaker and bracket to the clip on the back side and cinched it down. the screws are way too long, so I Dremeled them close to the back of the clip and that worked fine. The car came apart easily.

a subwoofer and an amp is not considered a sound system. You said the stock system is not good, then why didn’t you upgrade the components upfront and on back? Just cause you put a little bass doesn’t mean you upgraded the stock sound system, and there is nothing wrong with being heard from blocks away, if you don’t want to be heard just lower the volume, it’s pathetic to say that you want an amplified sound system to stay inside the vehicle! I have the 2018 touring 2.0T with one 12w7 and it can be heard outside from far, so for you to say it keeps the bass inside the vehicle means that your sub does not have high output. You are just sugar coating your sub, cause it’s weak.
