The Airstream is by far my favorite mobile home. I really love the extra foot room in front of the couch and the bed being able to go up. My only complaint is that the Airstream consistently puts the TV in the worst spot. I suggest adding a divider on either the back of the dining chair or at the front end of the kitchenette to hang the TV from.

Airstream is the one and only rv that's even in consideration for good quality. If not a an airstream, you would be better off buying a sprinter van or school bus to convert. Rvs are built like crap, using the cheapest materials they can possibly use. Then priced as high as they can possibly get away with. I've been working on rvs for a very long time. Trust me when I tell you, if you ever consider an Rv, make it an airstream.

While this looks quite well built, my concern, as someone over 6' tall, is how the well I would fit on the furniture. Lol. that's around 715.00 per square foot. My home cost 120.00 per square foot. based on those calculations that should cost 25,800. Its actually way cheaper to build than a house. They are also mass producing them and my home is custom. There is no reason other than pure hype, that trailer should cost more than 30,000. EXCELLENT MARKETING!
@bmm5255
@bmm5255 6 жыл бұрын
These are far from mass produced. They are hand built. The wait can be as long as 6 months at times. They are also built to a much higher standard. Try towing your house down the road and see how it holds up. These have been built since 1931, and 75% of all Airstreams ever built, are still on the road.

I would rather see the automated table be lowered and the TV swing out and be adjusted, than seeing manually operated day and night shades. It's tough to look at a crooked/damaged footrest on the middle seat section of the couch when you're sitting on the attached incliner, especially on something with a $150K,( pickup truck not included) price tag. It stood out like a sore thumb. Seeing the other bed/sleeping area would also be helpful. Airstream makes a beautiful product but this video needs some work..........and so does that darn footrest on the couch.

I don't like the idea of a slot at the back of the counters for heat flow. Things like pencils are going to roll into that and be lost forever. Heaven forbid you spill a cup of coffee or even worse, a glass of milk! And of course you can't park any appliances at the back of the countertop even if they are too big to fall in because it blocks the airflow. And it's all so unnecessary. You could even more easily have the air come out the toe space under the cabinets and the heat would be right where you really want it, on your feet. I also don't like the bathroom being divided into two tiny stalls barely big enough to avoid bumping your elbows in. I prefer the older Airstreams that had a single more generous bathroom that didn't feel quite so claustrophobic. Also, I think some of them had a small tub so you had the flexibility to soak if you wanted to, you weren't committed to showers only. The cabinet doors don't look like they fit in very well with the rest of the decor of the Airstream. They look old fashioned, whereas the rest of the interior looks space age.
@bmm5255
@bmm5255 6 жыл бұрын
Nothing can roll or spill down the heat vent at the back of the counter. There is a 1" lip there. Also nothing can block the heat. Don't knock it until you've tried it. It is much warmer, quieter, and more efficient than the forced air. And, no more cold walls! Also the bathroom (water closet) is huge. Plenty of leg room and elbow room. The shower stall is also bigger than you think. I am 6'9" tall, and have plenty of room. As for the cabinets. . . it is a "Classic". If the decor is not to your liking, maybe you would prefer a more modern look like the Serenity or Signature? They are awesome too.
@bmm5255
@bmm5255 5 жыл бұрын

Pearl Caster But your house is made the American way, from matchwood, osb board, staples and glue. Of course houses in the US are cheap, they are built the way we build chicken sheds here in Europe. The whole point of airstreams, or any other luxury product for that matter, is they are unaffordable for the majority. That's the definition of luxury. If everyone could have one they would cease to be special.

It's not family friendly. Perhaps a couple but with kids, it's almost impossible to have a comfortable space. I would remove the front couch and enclosed a bunk bed. Put a sliding door between the kitchen and the back, so nobody sees anyone coming out naked from the shower. My take on. I wouldn't buy an Air Stream since I have kids and each time have to pull down the couch or table. Not practical. I do love Air Stream but I think they need to revise the concept to have more sleeping space for a family without dismantling half of the sitting area.
