For the money I feel it's the best car in its class. Performance is top notch. This car comes with all the amenities that you need while other companies charge more for the same. If you want a car with incredible performance look no further!

Correct! It's underrated too it seems when you drive one. The V6 naturally aspirated is fantastic. You feel confident driving it and the all wheel steer is great too. The Honda J35 is one of the best surprise engines on the road. A sleeper. Also no badge with the V6 so the people driving turbo 4s get a nice surprise at mid rpms when you leave them behind after they think that must be a lower displacement engine like I have.lol

I prefer my 2012 3.5 over this.Everything about the car looks perfectly done,especially the interior.
@blexy3507 жыл бұрын
It is not bad - the grille is overly sized for the front end. I wish they would change the button gear selection. The dual screen placement is to 'Honda' for me. The red interior on the a-spec is sexy though.

Good review. However, I thought the ILX was the entry vehicle for Acura which competes with the 3 series and c class?

The more serious problems with the 9 speed ZF transmission have been addressed with the 2018 model year - did you do extensive test driving in the "Sport+" mode?
@drivecfl6 жыл бұрын
There as an update and the 19 model should be fine.
@lookalike62706 жыл бұрын
I just bought this car. He nailed it. He is right on the transmission issues. Awkward shifting. Brakes are uneven, and car lurches when coming to a complete stop unless extremely gentle with them. Nav system is a waste of time. Does not understand spoken English like Siri. Your phone is easier to use. I would not buy this car. Not kidding!!!!!
@drivecfl6 жыл бұрын
Surprising to hear. Usually Honda/Acura have very good products. Also this V6 and transmission have been around a while. Did you get a 2019?
@drivecfl5 жыл бұрын
Guess not because what you say is far fetched. Also Acura would address that if you had all those issues. There is a lemon law too. I'd take them up on it.
@VoynaZ5 жыл бұрын
The older TLXs had the shifting issue I can't imagine for the refreshed model they wouldn't have addressed this issue.

Yo, the GPS maps are from 2003? I was still in high school then. Since then I earned a masters degree, have had five different jobs, got married, bought a house, had three kids, and even gained twenty five pounds. What the hell is Acura’s excuse for not growing up?

The glare on that lower screen is awful. There is no way you can read it wearing sun glasses.
@alifarsani24694 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately the upcoming typeS will have around 350 similar to M340i, S4/5 or C43 AMG. It all boils down to the pricing. I got a TLX 2020 ASPEC few months back and right after that got buyers' remorse because BMW offered me a 2019 330i for almost same price, maybe 5% more. Even though TLX SHAWD is pretty good and the V6 generally speaking is more smooth but the interior and ride quality + badge respect of BMW is miles ahead of Acura. Also 330i's turbo4 beats TLX's v6 in 0-60. I test drove both and the extra torque in 330i is quite evident and you can definitely feel it but TLX's extra HP only is beneficial in highway and even then it is not much better than a 330i.
@drivecfl6 жыл бұрын
Honda and Acuras are at the very least good cars. If you haven't driven them or owned them just looking at videos doesn't do them any justice. This doesn't mean they dont make stupid decisions like other manufacturer's.

The Lexus ES 350 blows this out of the water, the difference in build quality, design and materials used is just way ahead.
@toddmediumwellingtoniii4787 жыл бұрын
Samson Okoro in terms of interior yes slightly. However, the ES still has its fair share of cheap materials.The TLX on the other hand, is better in driving dynamics.
@3333glen7 жыл бұрын
Std equipment is better on the Acura, and for $2k less.
