So Subaru invited me to a drive event where they displayed the superiority of Subaru's AWD system. Of course everybody knows you don't compare a 4WD car vs a 2WD car. But they said their proposition is to remind consumers that for the same amount of money, instead of that 2WD crossover, why don't you pick our 4WD crossover? Fair point.

I bought a fully loaded Impreza top model with Eyesight in Australia. First Subaru that feels expensive on the inside. I was hoping to hear your thoughts before buying. It was close between the Civic and the Impreza. Decided to go with Impreza because it's built in Japan and AWD.

XV design is not great but overall the car is solid, no rattles problem and reliable. Thats what buyers want isnt it? I can wait for facelift version with new 18inch rims, eyesight and leather seat.

Mr.Bobby Ang,never thought that you would make a SUV comparison,this is great.Love to see when you tested on the road and off road,now in the market many people are looking at SUV as for me i still prefer the HRV because of Bigger cabin, bigger boot can fit a lot of things.

Somethings wrong with that asx I have one... The driveway to my house I go up and down every single day is comparable to that but more rocky and probably steeper. doesn't at all struggle not one bit. infact under tfl the Subaru does the exact thing the asx is doing?

It didn't make it. Only by taking a run-up at it, but that won't work with longer hills.

+Francis Ho thats when the system kicked in and rotated the car back to its trajectory. This is the XV's brake based torque vectoring system braking the inside wheels to rotate the car preventing it or lessening undeesteer

Bobby Ang Since you tested HRV and XV in same session, how do you feel/comments the CVT characteristics between these 2 models? I somehow felt Honda HRV has better characters in terms of lower noise, torqy & lively than XV. But this comparison was done against the predecessor of XV.

+Francis Ho on the get go and normal a to b driving, the HRV is better and feels nippier in town driving too. Both honda and subaru's cvts are great

Fix it lo. Warranty means it warrants the usage to 100,000km and it did. If it kaput then pay and get it fixed. Maybe you're a rough driver? I like how Malaysians cannot accept cars will break down, can you accept your aircond breaking down? Can you accept your toilet has water leakage? Can you accept your mobile phone stop working? I dont understand this logic that doesnt accept mechanical stuffs to break. Just fix it then. Too bad.

Subjective. As a family vehicle the HRV is better. Bigger cabin, bigger boot, and as Bobby said, handling is nippier too. XV is more for the hardcore drivers I think. And outdoorsy types with AWD. And those premium underpinnings.
