sorry for saying that but you doing launch control - wrong. Press acceleration and wait till get 3500rpm on hold for 2 seconds. then realease brake. it will show you 5,6 sec.

Why is the gearbox not in sport mode???

The engine is in dynamic mode but gearbox is in drive should be in sport. Also you need to launch to get a quicker 0-100

In the official specific the 50 tdi do the 0-100 in 5.7 seconds. (sorry for my English)

Gearbox is not in "S" mode. Which means, it's probably quicker than this.

a6 45tdi - 6,3 secs / a6 50tdi (equivalent car) - 5,5 secs (arround 0,3 secs faster than the a7) - BMW 530/540/550d models are all faster (xdrive) 5,4 / 4,7 / 4,4 secs - if you're interested in the performance numbers :)

It's by no means an slow car, I mean 0 to 100 km/h in 6,0 seconds is no sluch, but... It's not as fast as I was expecting; I was expecting a sub-six second time. The 530d G30 does in what? 5,8 seconds?

the a7 50(d) is either comparable with the 540d (same price) -> official numbers - 5,8 secs / 4,7 secs (audi / bmw) - the 530d xdrive has 5,7 secs and the M550d has 4,4 secs

probably overevving in first-gen touareg fastest time between D and S was D, also not pushing kickdown button, it shifts about 4k, not 4.5 like in S and kickdown. to make it faster even at 4.5k you need to tune ECU

Engine sounds very rough for a 6 cylinder engine - BMW 530d is much smoother and also faster
