One thing to add is that the grounding screw that holds the wires are too tight in my car. First time changing it. You may need to spray some wd40 and use a pair of pliers to separate the top and bottom screws. Good luck, very happy with this tutorial. Saves me $220

Is there a service or repair manual for this vehicle? I have a 2018 as well and haven’t had much luck finding one.

It should have came with a service booklet

@@1milgrill nothing more than a service schedule, but not an actual repair manual with torques and the like for repair and maintenance tasks.

Torque specs, you said 30 lb/ft or 22 NM, it should actually be 30 NM or 22 lb/ft. Becareful!

I can't get the coils out...I disconnected the harness one at a time and tried pulling out the coils one at a time too. But none of them wanted to come out. Felt as if something was holding it inside. It's a 2014 a5 tfsi 2.0

This was done on a 2018. I haven’t done it for a 2014 model. It might be similar, that’s all I can say

To get the coils out you will have to wiggle it side to side and pull. They sometimes get molded on from all the heat. Inside the coil pack is a rubber material and tends to melt over time.
