This is a gorgeous car. A nearly perfect alternative to a compact premium crossover. It's luxurious enough for my Starbucks trips, and practical enough for my Home Depot stops 👌🏽. Great measured review btw, loved the lowkey style. Subscribed!

As always, another great review! I currently have a 2016 S4 and this might be my next car since Audi won't send over an S4 Avant (wagon).

Crazy, beautiful looking car! Wonder how a RS spec version would look? Although I would like Audi to return to its roots and bring us back RS versions of their original 4 and 6 sedans. Something to bring back the aura of the C5 RS6 and B7 RS4. What I really do appreciate is that that this S5 has a completely different engine from the RS5. Its different displacement, they have a different number of turbos and packaging. Making the RS cars unique. It's not just some boosted version of the same basic block which happened with the S6/S7 and RS6/RS7/S8. I really hope they correct this with the upcoming big RS Audis.

The Man sorta kinda agree with this except... audis roots aren't in sedans at ALL. Especially not the RS cars.. the original RS was a wagon, as were all of them until the B7 RS4 with the exception of the C5 RS6... which was ONLY sold as a sedan in America. even today most RS cars are wagon only, and if they bring them stateside, it's because they put it in a sedan specifically for our market. I want Audi to get back to their roots, too, though.. BY BRINGING THE WAGONS BACK :(. Just like when people say audis roots are the 4.2 V8.. which didn't come around in any popularity until the late 90s. audi was built on turbo fives and sixes. which I'm ecstatic they're bringing back! but, I digress...... basically... Audis roots and Audis 'roots' (in the US) are totally different things. Honestly, audi owes their existence today to Mercedes and economy cars of all things if we really wanna talk about the roots of the modern version of the company but that's ancient history at this point.... but also, yes. Also very happy the S and RS cars aren't just differently tuned versions of the same engine as well 😂

The new VW Arteon might be another competitor. Considering they share some parts and technologies and the VW is bigger and will probably be cheaper.

No excuse for not getting the steering right on a PERFORMANCE CAR that is in this price range. Stick to the A5 sportback, pocket the savings, and in a few years get a Porsche or other car with some steering feel.
