As I've gotten older, I've come to think that happiness is shaped by our struggles. Things that seemed mundane when I was young like a good warm meal, after yrs of struggling, now give me genuine happiness. I look forward to something so simple and cherish it because I had to struggle. I don't endorse the idea of glorifying trauma, ofc but I do think without it I wouldn't have learned to appreciate many good aspects of my life. Anyways, I always love these convos u have. It gives me something to think about after watching ur videos, so thanks❤

51:26 awareness is whats important. i think u gotta ride the waves of a hyperfixation while u have it and not judge urself for it. bc one day, if that intensity and drive fades, ull mourn and wish u had it back. awareness of urself and when it might be going on for too long or at the serious detriment of other important things in ur life is whats important. dont be too hard on urself for the surprise baby shower, but the fact that u have the sense to feel guilty and selfreflect when its not even ur fault like that means u got a good head on ur shoulders. enjoy ur drive and ur work effort and the fruits of ur labor. luckily it seems like u got ppl around u (like ry and ur family members) to watch out for u if u really do get to the point of burnout. hugs 🫶
