@@gregory3227 Supposedly it will do 0-60 in 3.6, but it's hard to hit that number thanks to traction...and now that it's cold out, forget it. The rs3 is much faster to 60, and the Tesla is super easy to launch also. They're all fun and fast in different ways

as a 550i owner i’d be terrified of a zl1 LMAO. we may be fast but not ZL1 fast, at least us pre 2020 guys haha, at least we sound incredible with downpipes and a good exhaust with that V8 rumble plus turbo whistle, a sound that’s disappearing in the wake of EVs and smaller displacement engines

If you're between buying either one of them get whichever you like more, I've owned my rwd 340i e50 FBO stock turbo with 112k miles (way more fun to drive) for 6yrs and still running strong even after being tuned for a bit less than 3yrs,however it just barely keeps up with my g12 750xi bone stock from a dig, However on the 750i i did run a stage 1 93 bm3 tune at 41k miles and the engine (N63TU2) blew on the first day being tuned after winning a race against a ferrari 458🤣, after 35k in repairs i still love the car and will be installing downpipes and going E30 later this week.....not the same comparison as what you asked for but you can't go wrong with either engine imo🤝

Actually I’m correct. You’re talking about achieving a higher mph and would be correct, I’m talking about the car accelerating faster In the top end. A higher (numerically) gear ratio would do that as it would keep the car more in the middle and sweet spot of the power band.

Thanks Ag! This race was absolutely magnificent! Props to both drivers, zero shame whatsoever. I love the fact the bmw driver is just like me. I had a job assignment in Lake Havasu Az last year (I live in Houston Tx) and although I was given a company truck (basic 2013 f150 long before standard cab) I said fuck it and took my modded trackhawk instead (company paid fuel). Along the way in New Mexico after fueling I was “minding my own business” getting onto I10 wb and a gixxer 600 pulled next to me and dropped gears and looked over at me. Mind you I had my bf and about 450 lbs of gear so I knew I had a huge disadvantage. I obliged and dropped gears as well and we ended up doing 3 different 50-155 pulls and surprisingly I won all three barely. It was fun af. Had the same thing happen when I took my Zl1 and ran into a 6 gen vert that absolutely destroyed me somehow lol but yeah those are the best road trips 😊.

Great match up. Even all the way up to 150 mph. If you pull past a car at 150 it’s not really a win in my book. I’d call this a tie. Most times I race it’s from a stop light or from 60 to 130. Over 150 is just stupid and pointless.

Incredible the numbers you hear when a car owner gives an estimate. Neither of these owners have any idea about their cars. There’s no way the GT is pushing upper 400s with just a CAI, and the Beamer owner is definitely tweakin thinkin he gained over 100hp just from a 93 tune AND thinking a few pillows in his trunk equates to a 180+ lb person in his passenger seat 🥴
