When you make these comparisons there are quite a few factors that also need to be considered. If one is serious about buying this class of vehicle. 1. Brand perception. The germans are readily recognized wherever one goes and the swedes need to step up in this area. Talk of a luxury car and only three brands are spoken - this is an important factor for quite a few buyers in this segment. Quite a few see Audi as just an expensive Volkswagen and the Volvo as a Geely's attempt at the germans. 2. Service centers, support spread across the country. The germans are better with 51 or so stations compared to 21 of the swede. Moreover with the less number of volvos on the road (not the busses :)) their service history and approach is largely unknown. BSI and Star care are well known and well rounded. 3. Some of the features like lane departure, gestures are all only gimmicky. Some of the features are very useful (but still missed by some of the german brands) like memory seats, remote boot release (not the sway your leg types but more of the driver side release types) 4. Safety. All of the 4 competitors are very safe but some of them manage to edge a little. 5. Ergonomics - While a lot of people talk about seats many seem to forget that while driving, quick access physical buttons are a must. A whole touch based GUI is more kiddish and not very practical while driving. Physical buttons provide feedback as well as ready jump to critical data like navi/ music/ phone etc while driving. This is even more important when the vehicles does not have a display at near eye level. 6. For being high cars, their dynamic behaviour (under and over steer) at low and high speeds need clear mention. Some of these aspects were touched very well in this video and I am glad. 7. Whatever the grade of the car, there are always places where the manufacturer decides to skimp on quality. This is where the swede need to step up quite a bit as there are a lot more scratchy plastics around as compared to the germans 8. Practicality of the boot is also important. No point in saying that the boot is 550 liters if half the space is taken by the spare tyre (GLC). The rest of the germans are better in this regard also aided by the larger dimensions of their cars. 9. How much localization has a lot to do with how much time one will have to wait for in the unfortunate event of a breakdown. We all know the problems with some of these brands. If its a CBU or a CKD with very little localization be ready to wait for months on end for a simple repair. And in most cases, its not what is available but what you decide to overlook because the features that matters the most for you may be offered only by a few. Its about how much and what you compromise than what is being offered. If you are a serious buyer, seek out answers for the questions above. And in most of the cases, over the many frivulous features that a vehicle offers, its some of these practicality points that will score over and make a decision for you.

From my experience using BMW X3 Luxury line , this guy over here is reviewing very differently. What he says makes no sense. BMW X3 luxury line has lot of features. Especially it's off roading capability is very impressive because of it's adaptive suspension. The power - weight ratio is what it makes unique from other competitors. It is high stable !!!! Yes it is having acoustic glass , it is very comfortable and less maintenance too. I really like not only driving my X3 luxury line but also to travel in back passenger seat , alot of boot space too.. this guy over here is saying completely different thing... It is way better than Mercedes GLC. But this guy simply claiming it. Go and test drive dude. You gotta love BMW X3. Don't follow this kind of gimmick reviews. Test drive it and you will see the difference.

Just got the sport x trim a month ago because lux line was sold out. I love the machine. X3 30i is sublime & not really missing the adaptive dampers. Yes, it would have been good to have them but the passive suspension is good enough. X3 30i drives flat & fast. Wasn't a fan x3 20d, has the same engine as the X1 20d & is 20-25 L costlier

Alright pretty nice review there. Next car you must bring up is the Mercedes GLC and maybe compare it with Jaguar F-pace or Range Rover and Volvo XC 60.
