I just bought this exact model.. it’s very sleek and feels luxurious in the cabin. I am a little disappointed with the lack of performance but I didn’t expect 300 hp to feel aggressive. All in all it’s a great vehicle but my next X5 will be the X5 M50i..

That's awesome! I love the X5. I own an E70 diesel and BMW continues to make the X5 better and better with each generation. My dad owns an E70 X5 as well--he picked his up from the factory in SC and did the tour and driving school. Must be an awesome place to work! Glad you liked the video!

Is the graphite paint scheme leans more towards black or dark grey? I'll miss the platinum grey metallic on my '13 X5 when I trade in for a white 2018 X5 35i but on this one it doesn't have the LED fog light as standard..

To me it's a vehicle with the primary purpose of performance driving (acceleration, speed, handling)--high horsepower/torque, stiff suspension, etc. In the BMW lineup pretty much any M-badged vehicle, including the X5M. This is really a family SUV meant to be comfortable on long trips and with enough space to accommodate people and gear. But that's something I love about BMW, that even a mid-size family SUV like this can still perform and be a lot of fun to drive fast.

It doesn't drive well in the base config. The drivetrain us excellent though. The base suspension is too soft with lots of body roll, the runflat tires are too hard. It's soft but not comfortable. The steering, oh well, horrible, extremely light thar you have to hild it really tight at high speed so you won't loose control. I expect more from BMW. Well, all can be fixed by some packages, but expensive packages. Interior is a huge step up from the old E70 gen. Everything else is step backwards. I have e70 and f16, no more.

Reviewer that says everything is great is not a reviewer. It is a fanboy. I test drove one today, for the same MSRP, I do find xc90 maybe a better choice. Q7 3.0T is definitely a better SUV.

TheEelnoraa LOL not a fanboy at all. I review a lot of cars and all of them have negatives but this one doesn’t have very many. I mentioned the third row is extremely cramped. I haven’t driven the XC90 yet but I am going to. The Q7 has more space but it’s also over half a foot longer...the X7 will compete better with the Q7 and GLS when it comes out, which I also mentioned how the X5 doesn’t compete as well against those two. The Q7 3.0T outperforms the X5 35i but I wish the Q7 offered more engine options in North America. This wasn’t really a comparison video but rather an overview of the features and driving experience of this X5. Anyway thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it 👍

Jan Zibrik X5 has twin exhaust. But there’s a valve that’s closed at startup and only opens at certain rpm
