So the wagon opens automatically, but the sportback has no opening except for the Buick symbol on the back? Odd. Thanks for sharing. Is the steering wheel heated or is that too luxurious for Buick?
@FreddySherman6 жыл бұрын
Sam S yes, you are correct, I hate that too about the rear hatch and how you can't open it remotely on the Sportback or GS! Yes, this has the heated, leather-wrapped steering wheel but it's only on the top Essence trim level. Thanks for watching.

I think I did say it! To me a station wagon isn't all-wheel-drive, it's a big wagon from the 70s, like the ones I grew up with. I would call this an all-road or a crossover SUV.

The regal tourx is not a crossover, it is an awd wagon trim/model of the regal...it's nice but too many things that ruin it for me and the way I want it equipped, it would be in the mid 30s...so vw golf sport wagen for me plus it comes with a manual unlike the tourx; definitely a good crossshop with the outback and xc60
@FreddySherman6 жыл бұрын
They call it a crossover, but I agree with you. I would just recommend you get in one and give it a test drive to compare it to the golf, if that's what you're going for.
@chien-shengtsai86265 жыл бұрын
Not the XC60 which is the SUV, but the V60 CC which is the raised wagon, comparable to the discontinued XC70 raised wagon. Volvo nomenclature and models are confusing.

Thanks for watching. Would it make you feel better to know it's made in Germany by Opel? It has a wonderful, solid German feel to it, like a BMW or Audi.
@kosta21776 жыл бұрын
@@FreddySherman Thank you for the response. I agree that German's cars provide perfect feel and their design usually the best on the market. NOT a “crossover” or an “SUV’. It is a (gasp) wagon. Not ALL Americans want crossovers, SUV’s or CUV’s and I am one of them. Too bad Buick had to ruin the beautiful exterior design with that ugly black cladding around the wheel lips.
@Buc_Stops_Here6 жыл бұрын
Targeting the Outback - top selling wagon in the USA for a number of years now. So of course it is the plastic cladding just like VW, Audi, etc.
@FreddySherman6 жыл бұрын
wmalden you can get the Regal Sportback, it doesn't have the cladding and has the same engine and drivetrain, with available AWD.
@gbtriumph32166 жыл бұрын
The cladding is useful. Unless you don't like to keep your car nice looking.
@shwndh6 жыл бұрын
Greg B The cladding is NOT necessary and does quite the opposite of its purpose. It make the car look worse. The new Subaru Outbacks don’t even have cladding over the wheel archs - only at the bottom of the vehicle. They just went way overboard with that stupid cladding! It ruins the look of an otherwise very nice looking wagon that will spend 90% of its time on the road anyway

Buick paid this guy how much? It ain't an SUV, no crossover. It's a wagon. I actually bought one because it is a wagon. This guy is more repetitive and full of plugs than an infomercial. Sad.

I wish they paid me, let me know where I can sign up for that program. Sorry you didn't like my review, I certainly liked the car and agree, it's a wagon. The important thing is that you watched it and for that, I thank you.
@christopherabraun5 жыл бұрын
@@FreddySherman , I enjoy watching reviews on the Tourx, Opel, Vauxhall, Holden... wagon. But it surprised me to hear so many things repeated by different reviewers of the tourx. Most compare it to the Subaru Outback, some to the Volvo, VW, and others the Audi and Mercedes. It's comfortable, unlike the Subaru. It sits like a car should, unlike the Subaru. And it's a decent sized wagon, unlike the little VW. The Volvo, Audi, and Mercedes may well be nicer, more powerful, and perhaps even larger vehicles, but for twice the price, you expect more. So, it's a niche at the moment. But the way so many wagon ish, and tiny SUV's continue to be called "crossover" vehicles, is truly annoying. What exactly can a front wheel drive car based vehicle with extra clearance cross over? The parking lot? Maybe a curb? It's not a truck. It's not an off road vehicle. And frankly the plastic junk they add to make it look like it can handle driving through the woods... will scratch and peel off and crack over time, and help hold water so it rusts faster! It's a marketing gimmick that they keep telling us we want our cars to look like trucks and suvs... I don't. I want a car. A big car that can haul a lotta stuff... hence a WAGON!
@FreddySherman5 жыл бұрын

@FreddySherman6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. Keep in mind modern cars will adjust to any grade of gas. It doesn't hurt the engine at all, just gives a bit less performance, which may be an issue in a Porsche, but not a Buick (meaning you don't have to use premium). I would think it gets similar mileage to the cars it competes with from Subaru or Audi.
