I am specially talking about camera operators( which TDs tell them what to frame most of the time) I am stating people who may have marched are better candidates because they know the animal and should do more shows for Tom Blair's DCI telecast(live to tape/drives) Flomarching is a sub and or contracted entity for social media and streaming using the cheapest gear because it doesn't require huge cost factors in rentals and operation of hi tech gear. Just because you can ram out notes doesn't mean you can produce or run a 15 camera live truck two different worlds that is not Facebook or twitter. when you say "content" a term used for social mediums ...which are cheap operational platforms.

People said that they didn't like Crown's show this year, as it wasn't the "brass filled" show that Crown usually has with big hits, and intense moments. As well, people have said it just didn't look that good, but I thought this show was awesome, and one of my favorites from this year. I love Crown, and I thought this was a nice change of pace, to include more percussion than usual, and I thought it turned out really well. Can't wait to see next year's show! Congrats on a great year Crown!

Joe Jaxson Crown tunes to 442 Hz instead of 440 to account for the effects of heat on intonation. You’re hearing correctly, but they do it intentionally. It’s one of many reasons why they sound the way they do.

thats how their show has been the last two years... I think they are trying to win without telling a good story and just focus on the music. Last years show was like how much can we stray away from the generic dci shows and make our own.

That's like saying we wanted to produce a million dollar film, but there's no pattern, no main character, no story-- a complete new take on film. (In the background, you see the producer sneaking away with a bag of money.) Or like saying, we're holding a dance concert but it doesn't have a title and it's not about anything. Or like saying we produced an opera, but the curtain never goes up, it's all behind the curtain. That's practically 501c3 fraud. Even Dance Moms has a thematic argument, for Krapp's sake.

You're so fucking dumb. We're way past that story bullshit. Concept shows are welcome. But this wasn't a concept. It was a half-baked crackpot souffle that sickened everyone in the school. @@isaactrent6947 This is actually a brilliant statement, and I support it, in part. I believe, underneath it all, that any one element in a show can redeem it and exalt it to the status of the universal, and make the whole thing make sense. Any one aspect of a show can pull it all together and elevate it to high art. But in this show, even the brilliant horn book and playing could not elevate this steaming piece of crap with undigested corn kernels in it. It had no meaning, no relevance, no resonance for the audience. It had no arc, no relatable character, no ending. Sorry. Yes. But not in this case. There was no "action." No redeeming quality or central focus.
