Finally picked up my new 1260 S Touring last week after a 5 month wait. Gotta say I'm so impressed with the whole package. It just does everything so well. Bucketloads of power, pulls like a teenager, great for overtaking, the electronics are awesome, so much adjustability and fine tuning if you want. Suspension is amazing, whether single or 2 up with bags. It just does it all so well. Very happy with the whole package and definitely well worth the wait.

Top man, it’s a great bike, I’m going to look at the 950S when it comes out and maybe trade in the AT 😜

Screen controls look a lot better than the previous model, looks great in white and the wheel colour works with it.

I'm taking one of these out this Saturday and also a africa twin. Two different machines like you said. I would say the screen is vibrating as you was going 40mph in 6th gear.

Thanks for the great real world review. This is probably going to be my next bike in a couple of months. I have been wanting to see a non-journo review. On to part 2. 👍😃

Any kind of steering wobble in this model? Since it doesn’t have a steering damper. What do you think ?
@GMANS_BIKES_CARS5 жыл бұрын
Didn’t wag its head too much that I remember, my 1200S Monster used to shake its head when I gave it full beans but was never too scary and I got used to it 😜

You and I are similar height at 5’7”, didn’t realise the seat was adjustable.. could you flat foot this? Did it feel comfortable?
@GMANS_BIKES_CARS4 жыл бұрын
Not flat foot mate but totally ok, you have to adjusted seat with tools I think and bike is very comfy

How does it compare to your Monster 1200? Specifically, acceleration, roll-on, engine vibration. Obviously, Multi’s 6th gear is an overdrive while Monster is probably not. Diavels had 2 more teeth on rear sprocket - not sure about xdiavels - belt driven. Also, was it stable at higher speeds and out of corners etc. cheers
@GMANS_BIKES_CARS6 жыл бұрын
Similar power delivery compared to my monster, maybe the Multi has a bit more shove mid range, high speed stability ok, didn’t go too fast in case my gooro fell off! Great in corners too, will need to try out my bro’s Super Adventure now he’s run it in and see how that handles 👍
@Birky_416 жыл бұрын
They are alot quicker than they look. I often ride around your way with one of my lot on the pikes peak version. For the size of a boat it handles and goes great

Hi Gaz! So I’ve been loving my 1200 s monster, but was eyeing up a 2015 1299 Panigale S. it has 10k miles on the clock so wonder if that should put me off. Have you ridden one?
@GMANS_BIKES_CARS5 жыл бұрын
Hi mate, sorry never got to ride a 1299, only ridden the V4 Panigale, 10k Miles doesn’t sound too bad but I would check what the next service entails as could be very expensive, it will be a great bike all the same, cheers, GMAN

Hi, great video I am collecting my new MT 1260 tomorrow 😎 trading in my AT because I wanted something more Road focused and extra power when needed 😮 The AT is a great bike, but more set up for off road and that 21" front wheel never give me the confidence I wanted on the road IMO I had tried the KTM AS for a while but found that uncomfortable and never really enjoyed the ride to be honest I find the the MT 2 bikes in one, comfortable touring bike with sports bike power when you need it 👍🏻 I never went for the S model 1, its £3000 roughly more than the standard model 😩 and 2 I never really wanted the electronic suspension to be honest I like to set it up my self and just leave it Oh I went for the Ducati Red bring it on lol Safe riding buddy to you and Bro 👍🏻

Superb mate u r getting yours tomorrow, well chuffed for you, I agree about the Africa Twin, although now I’ve fitted proper tyres it’s feels way better, although the power of the Multi is mega and on another level! enjoy your new bike! Cheers, GMAN

G-MAN'S Bikes & Bits Hi mate, The bike is great, love that sound even with the stock can. I have to take it easy until it's run in though 😩 I will try lol Have you made up your mind on your next new bike yet? I know you were selling the Africa Twin an Monster
@GMANS_BIKES_CARS6 жыл бұрын
Glad new bike is cool, so annoying running a bike in but I always do it by the book, I’m keeping the AT and going to sell the Monster, will wait to see what new Ducati’s are shown on the launch of the new bikes on 5th Nov, then checkout some new models at the bike show in November at NEC 👍

G-MAN'S Bikes & Bits Hi buddy, all gone down hill I'm afraid nothing but problems what with oil leaks and electric faults and not starting. 400 miles on a new bike should not be happening, had enough and now done a deal with my local Triumph dealer on 1200 Explorer a little heavy I know but so much smoother and has every extra on the bike XCA. It was the last of their 17 model come with everything and full luggage for £13 thousand, £17 for the 2018 version and to be honest not has change apart from TFT screen and little tweaks. I used to own a 2015 model and this has improved a lot IMO. I'm am smiling again 😃 Safe riding buddy

@markhorton70136 жыл бұрын
Heated grips not fitted 'But the button is there to tease you..... probably a couple of hundred quid'. (Really!!!) C'mon, we're talkin' shed loads for this machine and people like you take it on the chin and pay up for an 'exorbitant extra' for an add on that should be there as std on a bike that has an over inflated price tag for an Adventure Bike. Triumph don't fuck about in fact they throw in heated seats too. Grrrrr... greedy Ducati B'stards.
@GMANS_BIKES_CARS6 жыл бұрын
It is a joke they don’t give you heated grips as standard, hard to compare the Multi to any Triumph Adventure bike as it’s very different as the Multi is way more of a Sports touring bike with its normal sized front wheel and more of a rival to the BMW XR and the KTM DUKE GT, also I’m not in the market for a Multi and would get the dealer to give me the heated grips for free anyway! We all like different bikes and that’s part of the fun in picking a new one 👍
@markhorton70136 жыл бұрын
Yeah I get that... but how much more are we as two wheeled enthusiasts going to allow these dealers to continue to rip our arses out. Soon we'll all be paying 30k for a bike just because..... we seem to be losing the plot. The concept of owning a motorbike and two wheeled enjoyment and freedom shouldn't be about the badge and price tag.
@GMANS_BIKES_CARS6 жыл бұрын
I guess we all buy into different brands and some are cheaper than others, look at buying a new Audi or BMW, you need to add about 5-10K of extras to some models to get them with the equipment you want, it’s very wrong but as long as they keep selling them we keep buying them 😬
@FastRu-kl7iy6 жыл бұрын
Poor, poor life in Europe, with speed cameras and speed limits. You never revved that motor high enough to justify the price of the bike. Its pretty useless purchase against street tripple or something.
@GMANS_BIKES_CARS6 жыл бұрын
It’s not so bad in most European countries, just watch some of my Spain trip vids to see how we ride the roads there! That Multi wasn’t my bike so I was respecting that fact, trust me that Multi is a serious weapon to be used for any purpose, although I do agree it is a bit pricey 😬
@FastRu-kl7iy6 жыл бұрын
G-MAN'S Bikes & Bits Agree. Multistrada is emotional purchase. Common sense buyers are choosing s1000xr. Go visit Moscow, Russia, we have almost full freedom on a motorcycles. At least by far.
@Chris-vq5vr5 жыл бұрын
Fast5. Ru I totally agree. The multi is an emotional purchase. I have a S1000XR and whilst I enjoy this bike, my heart lies with the Ducati.. but the price is $$$$ on the multi.. great comment mate and greetings from Australia (living in Bali Indonesia though)
