In the early days... The white one's for international markets, but some lucky ones got the white one's too... Now it's finally officially available... This is my dream bike in the 400cc segment... And I'll own it this day or in the future.... 😊... Ready to race!

I booked the 390 Orange for myself and got the delivery yesterday, the bike is an immense pleasure to ride as compared to the RC 390 2017 which I recently had, the engine is much refined, sesting posture is wonderful, Pillion is comfortable and most importantly the larger radiator fan is as good as noise less heat dispention on the legs are nowhere to be felt because of the metal deflector, software on the TFT is updated and shows no errors, if you are thinking which bike to buy in 2018 and have the Budget , The Duke 390 2018 is the one !

It's sad that this bike hasn't really caught on yet in the US. There are ridiculously good deals right now in the San Francisco Bay Area where some dealerships are liquidating the 2017 models for only $4,000 US. The MSRP was $5,600 and I received a $400 discount on a year-end liquidation deal last November. Absolutely amazing bike...the first bike where the only mods I've done are a tail tidy and exhaust hanger. No need for exhaust or fuel programmer mods for me!

heating was a big issue for me against this bike. If it has vastly improved over the 2017 bike, this might just be in buying list this year.

Agree about the hot air comment Dino. I ride mine in Singapore so it is a pretty hot environment and the hot air isn't a problem wearing footwear. Agree about how much fun it is too. The handling is so good, it's nimble and agile like a ninja ballerina. I have fitted Ohlins to the the rear and added the comfort seat because I weigh 110kg and the suspension is now superb. It soaks up the bumps and potholes like a champion. My Dad has a Bonneville and was amazed how good this bike handles for the price it is. I will take my full license this year and can then upgrade to the scalpel or the Street Triple, but I love this bike so much I am not sure whether I will bother to upgrade.

has the variable rpm at idle issue been resolved? and what about the oil leakage because of faulty casing? are there any reliability issues like the bike stalling and then not starting? how do u compare it against the r3? will the dual cylinder for 1 lac extra be worth it? and have they fixed the engine coolant and oil mixing issue?

The bike is a beast and I agree there were prompt updates for the glitches is software, but I would not call the experience "hassle free" cuz embarassingly I had to push my bike out of the way of traffic at a signal as ECU failed and headlight switched off nearly blinding me at a good cruising speed in the 2017 version.
