Great test Chris! FYI - the Predator has a unique headpipe configuration to boost low/mid HP and torque, which does slightly reduce the peak gains compared to the Penta-Carbon, Alien Head etc... Glad you captured what some changes in bent tubing, hidden under the fairing can do! Excellent work on your flash also. That's why we send people your way for a great flash at a great price ;)

@iannsr1254 жыл бұрын
I have been told that the gsxr is a tight engine and only really frees off at 10k miles so the 4 hp is probably down to a tighter engine , my gsxr 600 since owning it from new 2015 has become more free as it comes up the miles it's near 7k now and it certainly feel difrent more power and pics up quicker too . I am in the uk so we aren't subjected to the power restrictions that are in the states .

@stavrosrahnos60714 жыл бұрын
I think it is, there is 1 reason manufacturers can't recommend hard break in's and that is law suits. New rider + new bike + hard break in = a really bad time. It's just a safety precaution, that's it. I've read forums, articles, comments sections and watches a lot of videos about it and there has never been evidence in favour of soft break in's that you don't also get with a hard break in. From personal experience I don't have a whole lot to add but of the 2 bikes I have owned from new I can say that hard break in's certainly do not hurt an engine as long as you change oil before "recommended" the first few times. I did 4 oil changes in the first 5k just because I could. my current MT-07 has 50,000 miles with NO (mechanical) issues at all, and I do not treat that thing nice by and means, still on my 2nd set of iridium spark plugs and they still look great every time I pull them.
