I freakin love my 2017 road glide, I can’t imagine riding any other bike. Even stock it hauls ass for such a big bike and you can do 4-500 miles in a day on it very comfortably and you can hear the stock radio all the way to 80-90mph. It’s a great bike, those of us that actually go out and ride our bikes know how much better the Shark nose is.

victor vicente sorry but whoever told you it’s making 130ft lbs lied to you. It’s not making that at the tire, even with the Indian cams they have it only makes about 115ft lbs. here’s a link to some dyno charts that have different setups for the 111. Very true on the handling difference from frame mounted to fork mounted fairings. I had a Road King P model and yes you do fight the weight of the radio stack and accessories at low speeds. My Road Glide is much more nimble at slow speeds, yet it does take a minute to get acostomed to all of your instruments pointing forward, when you and the rest of the bike are turning tight slow corners. Bit of a visual adjustment as well, but easily circumvented with prolonged use. A few nice hop ups for the Road Glide are the power commander, Vance & Hines 2 into 1 pipe and a cool intake filter assembly. Seems to have better throttle response and a little better freeway mileage if you keep your hand out of the throttle. Not to mention it does not sound like a sewing machine with the stock configurations. Keep the rubber side down!

I ride an 03 Road Glide and the only problem I have is the gas gauge doesn't work right , I know use the trip meter . I'm going on a 500+ mile trip in south Texas thursday and I'm looking forward to the ride . I did it earlier this year on my 82 Goldwing and it was quite enjoyable . Keep Jesus in your heart !

I had a 2016 street glide, never really liked the shark fairing till I rode one at a demo day. All it took was a 10 minute ride and a week later i traded In my street glide for a brand new road glide.

SharkGlide17 I like my street glide just fine and I am the same I never liked the look of the Road glide thought they were hideous looking. Then at a demo day the road caption talked me into riding one I couldn't believe the difference in riders position comfort and how it handled! I'm sold its just a matter of time before I get one.

The smoothness and better cooling is what the new M8 engine is all about, also the less maintenance part of it to. Its new technology harley davidson was holding back on implementing because people were still buying harleys. As competition got stiffer and their hot running twin cam motors were maxed out in the technology department they had to upgrade.

I just purchased a 2017 Road Glide with 2400 miles. The rear shocks were bumpy. So I removed the left saddlebag and adjusted the rear shock to number#10. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BUY PROGRESSIVES FOR 200.00. Adjust the shocks to your comfort. Game changer. Save your money

I bought my first Harley 2018 Road Glide coming from metric sport bikes and cruisers. I rode an 05 Kawasaki Vulcan 1600, a solid bike zero problems. All my buddy's where buying baggers and they would give me shit about my Vulcan. I refuse to buy a +20K HD because the bike was dated. When HD came out with the M8 I did a test ride I had a change of heart. They made some much needed improvements overall to their bikes. Honestly if Indian would have let me test rode their Chieftain I probably would have bought it. Because I feel you get more for you money with Indian. Don't get me wrong I do really like my Road Glide, I just had to spend a ton on upgrades to get it right for me. My take from HD is they sell you a +20K bike with mediocre equipment that HAS to be upgraded for a premium price.

I am with you Night Rider 100% and as for the wind thing I have a clear wind shield that looks good is made in the good old US of A and does the job perfectly. Did Harley-Davidson ever see Easy Rider. It can get worse than this and it probably will. Step through Harley any body.

You would be surprised at how much road you can see The fairing tilts away and I’ve never had a problem seeing over the windshield.

The part of the road that is blocked by the fairing is so close that you never look there unless you are pulling up to a wall.

When you're playing the "feet up" game, rev the engine. Due to the cross angle of the crankshaft, it provides a bit of force to keep the bike upright. Don't rev while playing the game on a Boxer engine or other with the front to back crank. It will provide a force that tips the bike on its side.

I just bought a road glide. The handling from my Electra glide classic is night and day... but, i went with a 16 inch windshield cause the stock one left too much wind noise. Couldn't hardly hear the stereo at 70. Problem solved now.

How do you compare the new 107 to the Vic's 106?

Stephen Trapp I’ve owned both and prefer the 107 over the 106. Take some time comparing the torque curves for both engines with this piece of information - the 107 likes to live in the 2000-3000 rpm range and that’s where the most torque output is generated - this beast just pulls! The 106 was great too, but just can’t match that seat-of-your-pants feel you get with the 107. At this point I’m so happy with the power allocation strategy on the 107 that I’ve decided not to do any stage kit modifications - I love this engine stock - just the way it is. Go test drive both just to convince yourself.

I have a 2017 Road glide Special. I came from a Kawasaki vaquero 2021. The Road Glide is more like a "Spaceship". This big bike glides and its smooth. Its an American bike, but im wondering if this bike has German Engineering. This bike is incredible. My 2017 has tons of technology.

The only big problem with the 2 bikes are road glide is more for taller riders.You can't reach the audio on the road glide if you're under 5'10.

Yamaha eluder wipes the floor with that roadglide. Yamahas were fuel injected in the 90's. But don't get me wrong... I will own a roadglide one day and park it next to my Raider, eluder and breakout.

My 2017 Road Glide Special has heated seats and more techs that you would believe. Harley is not behind the times. A 2017 has tons of tech. My 2021 Kawasaki vaquero had very little techs and burned two full tank of gas per week just riding to work 15 miles round trip. Not knocking the Vaquero. But it doesn't compare to the Road Glide or Street Glide. Period!

The bikes are the same except for a lighter steering, but they both handle pretty much the same, so do a head to head video.

duane howard I chose the RG over the SG because the stock fairing/windshield buffetted the hell out of my head at speeds above 55-60. No buffeting at all with the RG. Plus the RG has a frame mounted fairing - easier to maneuver the bike IMO.

Did you push that little button on the left side of the fairing ? down opens the vent so you don’t have that buffering issue .

Srkcycles , i have a 1998 Road glide AND a 2009 K1300s, my buddy has a K1600 and he let me ride it. It was ABSOLUTELY amazing, Fast too! My only gripe is that its too massive and pretty heavy, im sure its a GREAT touring bike though. I wish they still made the K1300GT as that bike REALLY rocked and is a lot more nimble than the 1600.
