Your videos are great. Very clear instructions, clear videos and everything is perfect. I did a coolant flush after watching one of your videos. I think a brake fluid flush is next. Thank you so much for these videos. This helps so many people including myself. Keep up the good work, sir!

What a clear and concise video for bleeding brakes on a clean car. It is understood this video is solely for changing the brake fluid and not addressing issues such as corroded or stuck bleeder fittings. Your presentation is very thorough with excellent quality. Thank you for sharing this.

Good video. The only thing I'd change is I'd only refill the master cylinder at the end to the same level it was at when you started. That way you don't have to remove fluid the next time you change brake pads.
@googleuser476 Жыл бұрын
This is correct. When replacing your brake fluid only fill the reservoir back to the level it was at when you started. When you push the caliper pistons back in it will send brake fluid back through the lines into the reservoir.

Any plans to make a video on doing a valve adjustment or drive belt replacement for the accord?

Where do the jack stands go in the back of the car? I would normally put them on the pinch wield, but since it is used to lift the car here, I am wondering a good point to put the jack stand.

Can I just fill the master tank with new fluid without running the fluid through calipers? Thanks
@DavidStumph Жыл бұрын
No, to be effective you need to replace all fluid.

Why brake fluid need to be change ?
@davebarb05184 ай бұрын
Out of curiousity, why do you bleed from the nearest to furthest? I was always taught the opposite but never really questioned the logic.
@DavidStumph4 ай бұрын
It’s centered around the most efficient fluid removal in the lines drawing the least amount of new fluid while draining. The method I’ve shown is based on Hondas maintenance guidelines for this vehicle.

do i need to apply a little bit of pressure for the pump before opening the bleeder fitting every single pump or just the first time for each tire?

Every time.

How many pumps per caliper or what pressure should I have it at when bleeding ? Thanks in advance

No set value, just draw until it runs clear.

Just got off the phone with a Honda service center, they said they don't need to take off the tires because they have a machine that bleeds it, does this sound legit? I'm so weary of corporate service centers.
@attocoulomb Жыл бұрын
They can probably access all the bleed valves by putting the car on a lift. The machine they have probably connects to the master cylinder reservoir, so it can pump in fluid as they open each wheel bleeder valve. Basically like a garden sprayer with a pressure gauge and adapters to fit various car master cylinder reservoirs.

So do you press down on the brake before or after you break open the bleeder?

Before

So just one question. Does the car have to be on while bleeding the brakes?
