Parking sensor when raining is common with my car, so i just turn it off. Cause a new grill is about 500 euro’s, ex montage! But never the less, what a great car it is! This car puts a smile on my face, in my opinion best Civic ever!

Great car I've never had any major issues. The thing anyone should be aware of when buying secondhand is that the 1.0L engine needs a new cambelt at 60k miles, cost is around £1200, so if you see any check the belt has been done, some are changed on recall due to known issue so check this too.

I had the tyre pressure lighting coming on randomly on my 2019 sport when I first got it at the start of the year. I was advised to do a "master reset" which involves doing the calibration process 3 times in succession waiting 5 seconds between each one. Never been on again since.

Good grief. I thought Hondas were supposed to be bullet-proof. I'll stop moaning about the few issues I've had with my 17 year old Audi TT. Nothing like £800 in the four years I've owned it. And the tyres last longer than 17,000 miles.

@@wisestApe really? That's bad. Is it the 1.5 engine? My fuel pressure sensor ended up being the fuel pump. Now this was part of worldwide recall, but mine wasn't covered for some reason and had to pay 500 uk pounds for repair ! Not happy! Not surprising they shut UK Swindon factory as in my opinion the cars coming out were not up to scratch..

4:15 "go for the Michelin's as they'll last way longer". TBH 17k miles is really poor for tyre life, on my 9G Civic, the Michelin's lasted 46k miles on the front and 72k miles on the rear.

I bought a civic brand new in aug 2018 & purchased 5 year service plan to help maintain car!. It's only done 32500 miles! Had it's 5th year service a month ago, passed MOT just over a week ago & has had intermittent acceleration issues for last 10 months which I did tell Honda about several times. Using the car for holiday a week ago, acceleration was awful & oil warning light came on with wavy line underneath. It's gone into Honda yesterday and today I was told it's the fuel injector that's faulty & cylinder 2 has issues and some valves need replacing & cleaned! Total cost £3686!!!! I am shocked! I've complained to Honda about how you can justify that issue & price for the amount of miles driven & having it serviced by Honda every year! My car should be on 62000 miles by now normally! If they don't lower the cost for me by a lot, I'll sell the car & never buy a Honda again!

@@The_Macaroon it got worse! After they replaced the faulty fuel injector it still had same issue & said the faulty fuel injector had ruined the engine block & that would need to be replaced at a cost of nearly £9000! I went through motor ombudsman, been without my car for nearly 3 months but this week had some good news! There's been a recall for the issues I had with my car & should all be fixed for free as Honda have extended their warranty on my model to 7 years due to this fault!

Honda had to do a recall as loads of other civic drivers with this model had same issues, they also fix a timing belt issue if you check your VIN number on their website in the recall section! Also they increased the warranty for these engine faults to 7 years!

Ive had a 2018 1.6 diesel almost from new and have had in order: Random warning lights on the dash, all saftey system related, brakes, stability etc - Not long after purchase, took it back to Honda and its never happend again. Sensor failed on engine had to be replaced. Replacement brake pads squeeling, had to have them replaced at Honda. Battery failed at 2.5 years old had to be replaced. Alarm siren kept going off and wouldnt stop! Had to disconnect the sounder. Soot sensor on exhaust system failed had to be replaced. A/C condenser failed had to be replaced. Shame really as its a nice car! And ive had civics before with no issues.

I've had a 2019 1.0 from new and had multiple problems as per my post in this section.i wanted a diesel auto but got such a good deal at the time I couldn't refuse (16k pounds). On flip side the engine is mostly quiet and has good midrange torque. I've done 55mpg on long runs in it so with a diesel I could have probably got 65mpg I would imagine. Is yours manual?

@themindset3329
@themindset3329 9 ай бұрын
@@NHC-nf6xh that's good news. For what I've heard it's a matter of condensation, so it depends on 2 factors: 1- how long you drive it every time. If you drive it long enough to warm up the engine completely, you'll likely avoid the problem 2- The weather. If you live in a warm/dry climate, you have little to worry about. I live in Germany, where it's cold and humid, and usually drive for 15 minutes or less, so I'm the best candidate to have oil dilution problems should they occur. That's why I'm most likely getting the diesel...

@@NHC-nf6xh really? I've been advised that the best way to warm up the engine is to actually drive, only waiting as long as you need to fasten your seat belt and drive off. Not revving it up, but letting it idle might not be ideal because it takes way longer to warm up and therefore remains longer working under temperature. That's what mechanics told me, and well, you save those 3 valuable minutes hahah

I have a Diese EX 2018 - Automatic, with 80.00 miles. * 55 mpg (23.3 km/l); Problems so far: * Sound amplifier, replaced in the dealer (almost £ 1k - service included). There is no such part in the market... 🤬🤬 * Lambda sensor (£ 300 service included - local mechanic) Car issues: * Poor quality rear camera; * missing tilt down on left mirror; * sound quality very poor in lower volume, but when you turn the volume up, things get better... but it's impossible to hear loud music when you aren't alone in the vehicle. In general, Civic G10 diesel EX is excellent, economic. ergonomic, silent. The cluster have all the info you need, very clear. You have physical buttons to control AC. If you compare... there is no better option, is the clever choice.
