2018 iREAD: Reading Takes You Everywhere!

The 2018 iREAD summer reading theme is Reading Takes You Everywhere! Programming and Graphics show how through reading and imagination, one can explore, discover, and experience people, places, and things that one would not normally encounter.
Exploring this theme includes reading fiction and nonfiction that is reality-based, but it also includes reading stories based purely on imagination. Library patrons will read about life in other dimensions, on other planets, and other times- people, places, and things that might be outside one’s reach or outside one’s comfort zone.
The goals of iREAD are to encourage patrons to read for pleasure, and to help students maintain and improve their reading skills, encourage them to become lifelong readers and library users, and establish reading as a foundation for academic success.
