What is the difference between the upland package and the altitude package?

Chrissy 37 I just got the upland on Friday, according to the salesman at the dealership the main difference is the wheels/rims in the altitude are different, the upland has the blue accents that the altitude doesn’t. The interior the altitude has leather/suede seats while the upland has regular cloth seats. Other than that he said nothing really major. I think it goes down to a personal choice as both are similar equipped. Hope this helps

Chrissy 37 I never drove the Mazda CX-5, so I can’t tell you which ride is better. I had a Honda Accord Sport so it’s totally different lol I live in the Northeast so I wanted the peace of mind for the winter snow we get. So far the ride is smooth and soft for a big suv, plenty of power (I got the V6) and all the tech stuff is pretty cool, I didn’t have that before in my Accord. I also have a Hyundai Santa Fe because of the 3rd row for over 2 years now but I can tell you I like the Jeep better and it’s only been a couple of days since I got it.

Great review, as always, Tyler! I'm really liking the Upland package's bright blue accents on the interior and exterior. It definitely adds a very unique flair to the Grand Cherokee. Also, it's incredible how well Jeep's Cherokee has aged. It still looks good despite being first introduced for the 2011 model year. The interior design is also very reminiscent of my dad's 2012 Chrysler 300. Keep up the great work! 👍🏽

You grabbed the key so u don’t lock yourself out. But it’s not possible to do that :) I test drove one today.

right, with this car you can't "lock yourself out" (which i've done multiple times to myself on older cars). if you left/forgot the key *inside* the car, it won't lock, and will let you in

Is it possible to get with a different Light package. Its too pretty to have Halogen lights. Online it does not have any packages, just wondering because this would basically make my decision, I need HIDs on that.

You can just buy aftermarket LED or HID bulbs to replace the existing ones.

Upland is a continuous 4x4. you can't turn it off or turn it on. it's all time 4x4. no silly knobs

essentially it's a Grand Cherokee Laredo E 4x4 with the "Upland package", aka "Customer Preferred Package 2BC"

Uconnect® 4 with a 7-inch touchscreen includes an AM/FM radio, available SiriusXM® Satellite Radio with one year of service, Bluetooth® Streaming Audio, Voice Command, Hands-Free Calling, Apple Carplay® support and Android Auto™. That's listed as both the base (for the Upland) and the Base for the base Laredo trim. So yes, the JGC comes standard with carplay.

I don't like the big rims which will bend in the 1st pothole. The blackout grill is ugly also the Base laredo E is far nicer looking vehicle for less money and it doesn't look like the owner is a pimp or gangster either.

Except it doesn't come in that great Rhino Gray and the interior has no contrasting stitching. The Upland also has a sunroof optional. The Laredo E does not offer that option anymore. I would absolutely get a Laredo E in Rhino Gray, especially if it had an optional sun roof. The 18" wheels are more capable in the snow and crash much less on the pot holes.
