This one you could do with the 508 the only thing you have to make sure you put the key right. Not flat but on the top of the key. Not on the side of it

Not with the 12/8, yes with the star connector.

I just tried to program a new Prox key for a 2018 wrangler same key for a customer with my Autel im508 & my Adc 2011 star connector bypass cable but the RFHub was locked from the dealer when they did a IAC write so It wouldn’t let me read the password said not supported like they always do when their locked by the dealer so that sucked. I wish there was a way around that but as far as know there’s not if they’ve been locked. I’ve done tons of 2018 & up dodge, Jeep & Chrysler vehicles using my Adc 2011 & been able to read the passwords but it happens every now & then. If anybody knows a way around it when their locked let me know but like I said I was told along time ago that there wasn’t by Autel. But also my Autel always makes me plug into the OBD2 & the RFHub at the same time so I use an OBD2 extension cable. I tried to do it only plugging my Adc 2011 into the hub but it wouldn’t work… is that how you do it with your Autel by just plugging into the RFhub & not the OBD2? Great vid!

I plug in both the OBD harness and the 2011. I have only heard of locked RF hubs, never seen one. I guess this is something the customer ageed to? Is this the original owner?

@@markmccormickkeys no none of my customers that I’ve ran into with the rfhub locked were the original owner because I’ve asked them if they had it done at the dealer & they said no. I just bought my wife a 2021 Chrysler Pacifica van & I went to program an extra prox key & it wouldn’t let me do it because it said the rfhub was locked, and I had to take it to the dealership being a locksmith of all things to let them program a new key for me and I asked the guy at the dealership that programmed it for me if there was anyway for them to unlock it, or change the module and they said no but I heard that they could, but they told me that when it’s locked that the password changes every 30 minutes in the dealer software so there’s no password for our equipment to read but I’ve ran into 5 I believe now that have been locked all in the past three months & I live in Arkansas and from what I found out you’re supposed to request it and usually people that drive the high-end vehicles like the hellcats etc. are the ones that have the dealer lock it for better security so people can’t make keys easily & steal them. I just would’ve thought by now over the past six years since Chrysler has been doing this that the programmer companies like Autel, advance, diagnostics, etc. would have figured out a way around this for us. I’ve also been running into problems not being able to program blade keys and Prox keys to some 2022 and 2023 GMC & Chevrolet trucks it’ll pop up VCI only I believe which means it has to go to the dealer is what Autel told me and when I called Autel they told me that they were working on a can adapter. I can’t remember exactly what they called it, but they said they did not have it ready yet but hope to have it available soon.

​@@markmccormickkeysdoes this mean that jeeps are not as easy to steal through OBD theft (like other cars)? Although you made that look easy 😮. I recently got my jeep stolen and I am brainstorming how to protect the new one. I was thinking of pulling the "diagnostic port" relay and adding hood locks. Do you know if that would prevent the key from being reprogrammed (as you showed)? Could you try it out and let me know please? Thank you for any information.
