Wow,Chen is still playing! How old is he? It’s amazing that he still can beat young players with such an age

greatest game i've ever watched LIVE. i think the outcome of this series could have been completely different if Tao won this game

this is such a good game. chen weixing hanging in there with the game plan. I know exactly how it feels when playing with long pips to control an attacker and feel like you getting pounded on but still with the same tactic and throw in a couple change ups. Then to manage out, via mental fortitude.

That missed shot on that point at 7:57 will keep Tao up at night. Tough pill to swallow given that's a shot he'd probably hit in 95% of the time.

Great match! I hope that more of the matches from the semis forward will be cut out into individual videos. Production quality was excellent. The ITTF can learn something from this. My only criticism is that the individual match video was over-cut. It would have been better if the great-and instructive-commentary that we heard on the live stream was fully included.
@USATableTennis6 жыл бұрын
It's really hard to incorporate commentary into highlights, usually we can remove the commentary audio for highlighting purposes, but it takes much more time to process and edit. Thanks for the feedback, there will indeed be more matches coming! :)
@rlo46426 жыл бұрын
@@USATableTennis Understood. To clarify my point, though, if you left most or all of the commentary in and only edited out the “dead” spots, the resulting video wouldn’t be much longer (maybe 10 minutes, total?). The result would be a fully-commentated video-and less work for your editor.

This was extraordinary play for the over-40 group. You could see the heavy spin on Chen's shots but Wenzhang could read his spin very well and came within an eyelash of winning the match.

Chen playing too much to Tao’s forehand. Penholders are not as annoyed by backspin game.

Too many mistakes on the countering by Tao. Actually couldn't do very much at all against Chens offensive shots, I know that has to do with the short pips too but still, was pretty shocked at how poorly he dealt with topspin drives and counter loops. It's like he swung a half second too early when countering or dealing with Chen's offensive shots. And tao made too many mistakes anyway, as well.
