Keystone Rv review: "Keystone RV has a KNOWN ISSUE and is still selling them. The slideout accuators and gearboxes seep grease onto the slideout roofs causing the roof membrane to bubble up. Then when the slide out is run out it catches and pulls or tears the roof membrane. Keystones fix is to put a drip pan under the gearboxes and patch the bubbled area on the roof. How can a patch last any length of time if it is constantly being run over a slide out seal. Eventually it's going to tear or pull back up if the seal is working properly. After speaking with Keystone they said..."

Was really looking hard at purchasing a Montana because of the garage feature. BUT, I do research on EVERYTHING I purchase and I have seen similar posts on this issue. With that being said, Keystone will not be getting any of my hard earned money and I am letting all my RV friends know as well! These companies have to be held responsible for outright bad products! I appreciate the open review!

My Keystone Passport GT is a piece of junk. It is a 2021 and is a 2400 RB. Nothing but problems out of it and horrible management and Keystone could care less. This is based on my own personal opinion and experience. I also climbed the back ladder and it broke and they claim I told them it was cracked and then I did it. Not true ! It cracked because of me climbing it and no sticker on it telling the weight limit. I had a warped refrigerator door, warped cabinet door. Both sliding doors coming off the tract. Top of shower coming apart. Sharp edges on some of the wood. The bed was not the original bed. Someone switched it out and the whole bottom of it was ripped. The wood on the right side of the bed was all chewed up. Sawdust still coming out everywhere. Light covers come of everywhere in the camper after you have been on the road. The GE A/C is so loud that you can barely hear the TV. Lot more stuff I found. I find the Director Of Operations rude and unprofessional for Keystone RV. Please buy a Forest River or something else but I would stay away from Keystone RV.

OMG I wish I had listened to this. We purchased a 2018 Montana HC. Our first trip. E3 error on fridge. Had it in 3 times in 6 weeks for same E3 coolant system error. It continued to have this error at least 1 x per week for a year. They told us no reason it was happening and to turn off and back on. Well fridge went out completely. They supposedly fixed it and with In 2 weeks the fridge is not working again. We have had the furnace go out twice and now the the sewer gates won't open and close. Our first trip also opened up slides and found 3 loose screws and can not find where they go. All heating thermostats do not work correctly, bathroom door doesn't close right, had a flat tire, had a blowout on another. I will NEVER purchase another keystone product. And we purchased this brand new luckily we also purchased the extra warranty.

oh, how i wish i would have seen this prior to my purchase. we have the same problem. we purchased a 2019 cougar 5th wheel , brand new. and from day 1 had issues that where noted and we were promised that these issues would be corrected. NOW we are stuck with the issues, because keystone will not stand behind there product. my issues is due to poor workmanship. they shot huge staples into the carpet slid out and everytime you open and close the slide it cuts and tears the floor and the black wrap underneath the slide out. the dealership has sent picture after picture of the damage and the staples that are causing the damage, as I know they have because I was there when the photos where taken. and the dealership was there when some of the tears accrued while opening the slide out. so how much more proof does keystone need, they had eyewitnesses and photos, and they still will not cover there poor workmanship. this unit was purchased at the end of april and was at the dealer until the end of july so we purchased a new unit for the season and only used it 1 time due to all the time it was at the dealer, for the other list of items that needed to be fixed, the bedroom cabinet door was split, the skylight was cracked, the tv cabinet trim was not in all 4 corners, the vent cover on the inside ceiling was broke, the glass stove top cover did not lay flush, our 40 inch tv has a chip in the screen due to the cables not being properly fastened when the tv is in the down position. the dvd player did not work. the ac unit in the living room constantly kicks on and off. the heat also kicks on and off it is super annoying. they never caulked behind the bathroom sink, the caulk along the back passenger side of the rv came off. the outside compartment door leaks. the led lights on the front nose have dead spots. I could go on and on, please save yourself from the all the headaches and aggravation and DO NOT PURCHASE A KEYSTONE PRODUCT, IF AFTER READING THIS YOU STILL CHOOSE A KEYSTONE PRODUCT I WISH YOU ALL THE LUCK IN THE WORLD BECAUSE YOU WILL BE ON YOUR OWN, NO ONE FROM KEYSTONE WILL CARE ABOUT YOU ISSUES, THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY!!!! AND BE PREPARED TO DEAL WITH POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. YOU WILL ONLY HEAR I'M SORRY YOU FEEL THAT WAY. A LITTLE ABOUT ME, I AM A ONLINE BUSINESS OWNER AND WILL POST ALL I CAN ABOUT THIS BAD COMPANY SO OTHERS ARE AWARE. I ALSO WILL BE POSTING A KZbin VIDEO MYSELF WITH A FULL WALK AROUND OF THE ISSUES MENTIONED IN THIS POST. IF I RAN MY BUSINESS THEY WAY KEYSTONE DOES, I WOULD HAVE NEVER MADE OVER 10 YEARS IN BUSINESS, CUSTOMERS SHOULD BE YOUR NUMBER ONE PRIORITY AS THEY MAKE YOUR BUSINESS. NOT WE GOT THEM ONCE THAT'S ALL WE NEED. WORD TRAVELS AND I WILL DO MY PART TO PROTECT OTHER CONSUMERS AS THIS IS A BIG PURCHASE.

Great information and really appreciate what you are doing!! I was considering purchasing a Montana in a few years looks like I'll be getting a GD or Northwood Product instead. Customer Service is everything!!

All 3 slides motors leak on my new MHC 310RE. I hear ya on the problems...

Greg, here is an update by the user: "Was advised by my dealership that keystone has agreed to replace 3 of the 4 roofs and gear motors that are leaking. Was also advised that keystone agreed to cover all other warranty issues we addressed with the dealership. The service manager at our dealership advised us that they didn't want to interrupt our vacation so the 5th wheel is scheduled to go in for repairs around the first week of October. Tentative resolution will be at that time."
