Hi I am looking to get a Discovery and tow around a small travel trailer. How much does your weight and do you have any problems towing up steep grades?

Hi Renergy. The caravan in the video is a friends. I have done about 20 trips with a heavy box trailer. There is absolutely no power issues towing . The only strange thing that happened once was I was trying to back the trailer up a 17 degree slope and manoeuvre a tight corner and because I had a few attempts the stability control thought I was in trouble so it stopped me. I worked out if I turn the engine off and restarted and the turn the stability off, no problems.

Leigh Wilson Thank you for the info Leigh. Are you using a weight distribution hitch? Have you towed going over max tongue weight?

There are many members who have caravanned around Australia and the Outback. Dual Battery set ups, braking assist and all the information anyone could want in a friendly helpful group. Hi Leigh. Have you ever experienced s failure in the reverse camera system whilst reversing? The system in our Discovery 5 switches to a blank screen whilst in reversing motion. Just happened in a school pick up zone ! 9 failed attempts at repair so far ! Any suggestions?

At first they replaced the screen after the first two attempts and finally they got the JLR head office guy down and he supervise the software update . Sorry I cannot be more helpful
